Alright, I'm trying to pick up Mario Manningham (he's blowing up right now in the Dallas/Giants game, solid week 1 also) but it says I filled out a waiver. I know theres 'orders', but how long do I have to wait until hes officially on my roster?

who are you with (site)?
in yahoo, if he's on waivers and you put a bid on him you have to wait until he is released from waivers (usually 2 days, but it depends on league settings). also, whether or not he is awarded to you will depend upon whether or not anyone else puts a claim on him. the team with the highest waiver priority will be the one that pulls him.
fortunately for me I picked him up at 12:57 today...last minute. so glad I did of course.

Nice pick dude. He had a monster game, showing a **** load of potential. I'm playing on ESPN and I'm 6 of 12 in the waiver order. I looked at the Waiver reports and nobodys got a claim on him. Hope I get him myself, Hines Ward/TJ Housh haven't done me much so far.

Alright, not sure what's going on. I filled out a claim yesterday, yet when I go to the waiver reports I'm not listed. Actually, nobody 'claiming' is listed, just pick ups that went through. Oh well, he's still a FA as of today, really want him.

It will be on the following weeks transactions as week #2 is not over yet.

Ok, how does it work though? I'm 6/12 on the waiver order, how long does everybody have to claim him before he comes to my team?

It should say in your settings/scoring
IF you have auction value, you will need to put quite a bit down to get someone that just had a huge game on national TV. EX-My league has a $100 waiver wire budget. You bid on the player and no matter where you are in the waiver order, if you bid the most then you will get that player. If everyone bids the same then you are still #6 and better hope no one with a lower bid # put down the same money. If no one bids on the guy at all then you can get him for free from the free agents pool and it wont effect your ranking.

We aren't doing auction.

Every manager can put in a waiver claim for the player. Once the player clears waivers, he is awarded to the manager with the lowest waiver priority (1...2...3...etc)
Since you are #6, you have to hope that #'s 1-5 did not put in a claim for that player.

well I am too late and someone has already put a claim on him. What do you guys think of Steve Smith of the Giants?
My WR are:
Roddy White
Anquan Boldin
Dwayne Bowe
Devin Hester
Braylon Edwards
I think Braylon Edwards is not going to have a '07 type year with Quinn as QB and Bowe and the Chiefs have a horrible offense.

they have until the waiver period is over. you'll have to check your league settings to see how long that is. if no one puts in a claim on him during this period, he becomes a free agent and its first come, first serve.
you won't know who gets him until the waiver period is over. thats the way it is on yahoo anyway.
