So I'm contemplating on whether I should keep him or not. I read that he may play this weekend which could make his injury even worse. I just don't think that he'll last the whole season. All that said would it be wise to pick up Vick for the future of this season?

I would much rather have McNabb then Vick.

I would rather have McNabb over Vick as well.

Can't you make another cut to pick Vick up and keep McNabb. Are you carrying two kickers or maybe to Defenses? If so, make the cut.

Why would you even think about taking Vick over McNabb? Vick still has a TON to learn and even if McNabb gets hurt, Kolb or Garcia will step in

What he said.

I am stashing McNabb on my bench. I'm in a league where I am the only person that didn't draft 2 QB's(which is fine by me, allowed me an extra RB or WR), and I picked up Fatwich to cover the time McNabb is out.

But thinking Kolb or Garcia would be able to step in and match Donovan's fantasy output is wrong. To think Vick could step in and do anything is delusional.

If you have the space, keep Donovan.

Appreciate all the feedback. It's just the second week and all. Hearing about a fractured rib is pretty concerning ya know.

Having an early bye week is a good boost of confidence aswell.

OP--neither McN or Vick is gonna start this weekend. Are you stuck with whatever QB Atl has or can you get someone else like an undrafted QB that may be half way descent?

I have a back. This week is not my concern. I was thinking long term for the season. McNabb is as tough as they come IMO. He's starting to develop wear and tear these days. So wasn't sure how bad this injury would affect his play down the stretch mentally and physically. There are going be times where he gets nailed in the ribs from being sacked.

Vick isn't going to be Philly's main QB. They're using him for wildcat.

If your choices are Mc or Vick I would stick w/ Mc. He will come back fine in a couple weeks.
