Thats why I havent done it yet...IDK how consistent that will be for jones and I know sproles will do better while LT is out, but its a tough call.

I DO have TO and dont know if he might be a lost cause or not...could get rid of him but Im not sure if thats a good idea since he is such a talented player. It just depends on if the ball gets thrown to him or not. I do already have A Johnson, Welker and Crayton...just a thought

Brah, Julius Jone is garbage. The only reason why he had a good game was because he played against the Rams. Sproles will be more consistent and LT is getting less playing time.

Look at this weeks matchup..Jones will have a much better game then sproles..Jones has the san fran D, while sproles has Baltimore
Looking in the future it looks to me that Jones has an easier scheduel the sproles
and also sproles wont be getting as much points because he has Rivers as QB. I see Jones getting more touches because hasselback is not as good as rivers

Actually San Frans D is improved alot. That is not a great matchup for Jones.
How does having Rivers mean that Sproles won't get as many points? They throw screens to Sproles all the time. He will be putting up better numbers especially if it is a PPR league.

Im saying playing San Fran is easier then playing Baltimore...
And every team throws screens, but Rivers was one of the best qbs last year. There gonna reley on him more the sproles

LT isn't going to fade out this quickly fellows.
The whole focus is that they want LT to be in better condition for the PLAYOFFS. So his carries imo will pickup as the season goes on.

i just traded knowshon moreno for julius jones. JJ scheduled opponents are much weaker in the upcoming weeks. I have LT as well. hopefully he gets healthy and gets some good numbers this yr.

Yeah he was. San Fran is easier than Baltimore, but Croyle went 14-24 against them so Rivers can put up better than that easy.

I got Sproles. I think he will do real good this week with LT out. Keep him.
Edit: after checking out the stats and numbers---I think its a Pick either one. Sproles should do good but JJ will do good also.

Julius Jones looked like garbage until that one long run. He was averaging 3 yards per carry. He isn't a home run threat, and he isn't facing the Rams 15 more times. Julius Jones, like Joe Flacco, is the perfect "sell high" candidate.
1) Game 1 of the season
2) Played against one of the most ridiculous pathetic defenses in the NFL
3) A few (or in JJ's case, ONE) lucky play makes the stats look fat
oh yeah, history lesson - last season, JJ ran for 140 yards and a TD against the Rams in week 3. Everyone said "wow, he rocks!!!" and was a waiver wire gem!!!
and then for the next 13 games, he saw the end zone only while walking past it before and after the game. In those final 13 games, he broke 80 YFS once, 60 YFS once, was held under 45 YFS for 11 of those final 13 games and had less than 25 yards rushing FIVE TIMES.
LT2 was held out of the game during the final, game-winning drive, and Sproles was the bellcow, with several receptions and the final TD run. LT2 is gimpy this week.
Put it another way:
SD showed their gameplan and confidence in Darren Sproles by benching one of the greatest running backs of all time. Seattle showed their gameplan and confidence in Julius Jones by signing a castaway free agent
if the other dude gives up Sproles to get Julius Jones, try not to laugh too hard when you realize he clicked "accept"

oh, as for the pass catching thing, SD running backs caught 106 passes for 1039 yards and 8 TDs last season. Sproles caught 5 of those TD passes
Julius Jones, in his 6 year career, has a high of 218 yards receiving and has yet to catch a TD pass.
just sayin...

Did Seattle not sign Edgerrin James? Do we all think that they just did it because his gold teeth and semi dreaded hair look cool while holding a helmet on the sideline? BEST case scenario is that Jones remains the starter while Edge vulches the goal line. If you want a player on your team that will amass you about 25-50 TOTAL YARDS per game and not get goal line carries then keep JJ. But my bet is that (even with LT playing) Sproles gets that in the air each week, plus whatever he manages to pick up on the ground and in the return game.
I'd try to trade JJ before I cut him, but unless you're in a very small league or one filled with total clowns, Sproles won't be sitting in your FA pool for very long.

Keep Jones. People are saying that Jones went againist the Rams defense and thats why he did so good.
Well Sproles went againist the f'n Raiders and only got 12 lol.
edit: don't listen to me

Julius Jones had 9 yards from scrimmage.
Sproles had over 150.
hope you folks listened to me. :)

Man, I didn't start Sproles because I had Knowshon and Barber as my RBs and I didn't think he'd hold up well against Baltimore. I debated putting him in the flex spot for Hines Ward, then BOOM 25 points everywhere. Oh well, I still got the W but I'll stop underestimating him and hopefully Moreno can pick his ass up.
