I have the bucs, still won my first week despite their negative point total. Should I keep them or drop them for one of the following? The bucs are playing at buffalo this week.
falcons against carolina
seahawks at niners
broncos against browns
raiders at kc
jags against cards
indy at miami
miami against indy
cowboys against giants

I think Atlanta will end up being a top D this year. And would gladly start them each week until they prove otherwise.

any defense except the cubs defense, or Ohio state because they suck

i like jags against cards. def get rid of tampa and pick up a defense week by week based on their opponent.

As a Falcons fan i can vouch for ATL. Their D line has got a legit rotation going now. And 1st rd pick DT Peria Jerry is getting a ton of penetration which is taking double teams away from John Abraham. And Kroy Biermann a 6th rd DE out of Montana 2 years ago has been great this offseason. He got two sacks and a FF last game, but the secondary can be exploited.
Any defense is better than Tampa though.

we'll see how it goes, but I also picked up ATL D for my match this weekend. After seeing the QB situation you can't help but like the chances.

lol at everyone saying the Falcons....even as Falcons fan im not so sure myself. Their secondary did not look all that great and Pennington really threw a lot of poor passes. on top of that they continuously handed us turnovers that game which made it easy for us to look real good that day. The only thing I would consider legit from that game were the sacks. The Falcons do have some guys who can get to the QB. It's the secondary that still raises a major question in my mind.
If anything I'd go with Indy's D because Miami is an absolute mess right now after the way they played in ATL.
I expect the ATL/CAR game to be high scoring like everyone thought would happen in the Miami game.
So basically im still not completely sold on our defense just yet.

They didnt hand us any turnovers. Sacked and got forced fumbles and made some big hits to get forced fumbles and got that pick. There wasn't anything that was just given to us.
I do agree that the secondary is weak, but with the guys we have rushing the passer make them look better. And not to mention we just added Tye Hill and Brian Williams. And Williams is an obvious upgrade over Grimes.

Are you kidding me. The only legit hit that forced a fumble was that shot put on them (dont remember who did it) down around the 20 when they were threatening. That was a good hit. Pennington was careless when he fumbled. And the other one Fasano lost was weak as well
They pretty much handed us that game by being careless.

Ha Pennington was not being careless. He rarely turns the ball over. He just got sacked when he was looking down field. There was nothing careless about that. And a hit is a hit. It doesn't matter if you think it was weak cause it obviously made Fasano fumble. Its not like he was holding the ball out. He got hit and fumbled it. How does a Qb who gets sacked and loses the ball careless?

It wasnt like he got sacked with the ball tucked. He had that sh*t open and exposed trying to force something to happen that wasnt there when he was getting sacked and had the ball knocked out. It's the same reason why Vick always fumbled so much....Pennington had that ball way to far from his body when the defense got to him and he lost the ball as a result. That is careless. He should have brought it in and taken the sack.
And yes, he was holding that ball out. Maybe you just dont remember it.
But we can just agree to disagree. As a Falcons fan I hope you're right and im wrong on this, but I still question the D for now.

Ha he had it out cause he was about to throw the ball. That happens to QB's all the time. Well i do question our secondary, but if our pass rush is getting pressure like they were and our LB's are stickin folks like they are then i won't be too worried.

I would take IND. They have a new look De this year and look good so far. Next choice would be Atl
