I see a lot of weird threads/questions about should I start this guy or trade him for this. Well here's a very good list (others can add to it) of players that you simply DO NOT BENCH. Unless they are on bye, injuried, or not playing.
QBs:
Drew Brees
Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Philip Rivers
RBs:
Adrian Peterson
Michael Turner
MJD
WRs:
Larry Fitzgerald
Randy Moss
Andre Johnson
Calvin Johnson
Greg Jennings
Reggie Wayne
TEs:
Jason Witten
Antonio Gates
Tony Gonzalez
John Carlson
Dallas Clark
DEF:
Steelers
Ravens
Giants
Titans

why is it dumb? I think it's an excellent idea for a thread. There is another thread asking if Ben should start over Peyton
now, believe me, I'm a Ben fan, but you just don't bench Peyton Manning in fantasy.

This is more of a "don't bench any week"
It's to help more of the n00bs so they stop making so many threads. (nothing personal) A lot of these players play even better against tougher matchups. I've been burnt too many times sitting guys, to not like this as a good tool.
Also some players (McFadden, LT, Slaton, Rogers, Romo, etc.) are do not bench players from week to week depending on their matchups.

people shouldn't be doing FF if they bench any of the players above. this is common sense. if you have to answer this type of question for them then its retarded.
i was hoping this was more of a don't bench thread as to sleepers or average player gonna be good because of the match up. thread fails.

There's already a thread for those questions?
the Think Tank is where you go
"hey I need to pick 2 RBs this is my list..."
This was more of a general list just so the newer players could get an idea of the value of fantasy players. I mean have you seen some of the threads popping up?

I think it is a good idea, but I wouldn't add John Carlson to the list quite yet. Seriously, if you are going to add Carlson, you have to add Dallas Clark. Not that I am down on the kid, I think he is amazing but hes not quite unbenchable yet. If you are going purely on week 1 statistics then a lot of T.E's shouldn't ever be benched.

So pretty much according to this thread. Dont bench the star players. You need to add in some middle of the pack guys. Guys that people actually question. Noone who knows FF is ever ygoing to bench Rivers or Manning or MJD, AP, Turner.

He caught 5 TDs and had 627 yds last season without Matt in the lineup.

If that's the case the why even have this section eh?
If we're all FF guru's we'd not need any advice whatsoever!

Well yeah, but Seneca Wallace played quite well as a replacement and targeted him often. I'm not saying he can't be on the list. But if he is on there you have to add dallas clark, especially now that Gonzalez is hurt.

Man, I got Deangelo Williams and Steven Jackson on my RB slots. Seriously debating putting Benson in and sitting one of them cause of last week. But they're both studs. You guys think they'll bounce back?

Williams is right on the outside of this list. I wouldn't bench him for anyone (last week he scored a TD too!)
S-Jax is gonna have a long season if that O-Line/Passing game doesn't give him some help. I don't trust Benson yet (he's on my team and is still on the bench too).

Na i think St Louie is going to look at the tape and realize they need to get Jackson involved in the passing game more. And DeAngelo Williams always seems to find a way to get his so i wouldn't bench him, but my Falcons D is ferocious son!!

Yeah, you could shorten everything and say dont bench your first 3 picks if you wanted too. Its just common knowledge not to sit the guys you get with your first few picks.

Yeah, I just picked up Devery Henderson since I have Brees as my QB. Not sure if I should start him over TO though? TO pissed me off this last week. I put Benson in the RB/WR slot. My other 2 WR's are Megatron and Santonio Holmes.
