QB Situation...

Thank goodness I won this week but I'm in some trouble.

This league is 16 teams deep and very competitive, Cassel is my starting QB but I have a HUGE problem for my backup... the following was my starting team this week and the respective backups...

QB - Jake Delhomme (the problem
RB - Ronnie Brown
RB/WR - Thomas Jones
RB/WR - Mike Bell
WR - Larry Fitzgerald
TE - Anthony Fasano (also put up negative numbers this week)
D/ST - Seahawks
K - Neil Rackers

LenDale White
Matt Cassel
Santonio Holmes
Kevin Walter
Tedd Ginn Jr
Michael Crabtree

I made a trade offer a few days ago, trading Delhomme and White for Shaun Hill, but the guy hasn't responded yet and I don't expect him to accept the trade after this week.

Thought about grabbing Croyle but if there's a question as to who's starting then that's trouble. Cassel SHOULD be starting for Sunday's game anyways.

Russell didn't look half bad today (compared to how I thought he would play) and he plays KC next week so that's an option.

Kolb has a great cast around him, but the Eagles already signed Garcia and Vick will be back in 2 weeks so the only reason to sign him would be for next week but Russell has a better matchup anyways.

Bulger is the only other QB projected to put up any points next week but he's worthless.



Need some experienced opinions because this is a tough one...

Dude I'm in your same spot. I have Cutler...who looked like a good QB until you take away his weapons at WR.....and Garrard..no explanation needed.



For you I would definitly drop Delhomme although it could have been the eagles D that caused most of the problems but...no not really he had 4 picks in his playoff game last year.

Don't Go for Kolb...I'm an Eagle fan and he sucks...besides if Jeff is available to play for the Eagles he will be in...he proved he could run the offense, not worth a pick up in Fantasy...they just gave Vick a $9 million contract...he will be playing by week 4 if Donovan can't go.

I'm thinking Russel (did I just say JaMarcus Russell) is your best bet for a one week play if Cassel can't play.

I'm thinking about picking up Cassel in my league and dropping Garrard or picking up Sanchez.

Russell was what I was thinking as well. I still don't think he's a very good player even though he look good last night, but he plays KC next week and hopefully Cassel should be healthy anyways.

I just hope someone doesn't pick him up anyways just to prevent me from getting him (like I said, very competitive league).

Dude you have a big problem with your starting QB not to mention how bad your back up is.

I think your best bet would be to pick up Russell. He should settle in this year and give you solid stats.

I would drop Crabtree. Crabtree hasn't signed yet, doesn't know the plays, hasn't had a football camp, and has attitude problems. At least Walter will produce for you.

Now if it's a dynasty league or keeper league. I would drop Crabtree.

Yea I'm thinking of dropping Crab too. I don't see him being much of a producer this year since Singletary won't put up with any of his crap anyways. Walter is expected to play Sunday and he should at least produce most weeks.
