is there anything I can do to up my chances? carb up/water intake increase? any training or diet changes to make?

today in the gym I barely hit a 425 bench, going for 435 (I know I have it in me)

I'm going for it on friday and I was wondering how I should prepare for this?

thanks

I have nothing constructive to say except:

LOL thanks bro, I stopped training bodybuilding though. I wanted to hit 435 before I turned 19@217. That way I'm hitting x2 b/w raw

Very strong, especially for a 10 year old. If you have any pre workout supps, use them of course.

I would say wait longer than friday before trying it again if you can, especially if 425 was a grinder.

i know that if i purposely overlift (like bench, squat, or whatever) for like a week and make sure to eat a ton of food and then take a few days off, ill set a PR when i come back. but then again, you got 90-100 pounds on my bench, so you obviously know what your doing.

babyslayer told me about the overlifting while overeating as a way to set PRs btw

wasn't really a grinder, I hit the pin on the way up but still managed to pull it off. only had one meal - 2 scoops of oatmeal before the workout

Def. get a couple more meals in you and plenty of fluids. Ammonia caps maybe. Personally i only like to use them on deadlift since you can just grip and rip, benching is a little more techinical than that lol.
