Got a bit of an interesting decision to make for tomorrow. The league I am in with some buddies has a pretty strange starting lineup...

1QB
2RB
1RB/WR
2WR
1WR/TE
1DE
1LB
2DB
1DP
1Def
1K

My q...what TE would you consider starting over mediocre WR at that flex spot? As you can imagine with so many starters (and an 8 person bench) in a 10 team league, there isn't much as far as decent depth on the WW or FA. However, bc there is no starting TE there are still a few decent ones in FA, such as Clark, Gates, Shiancoe, Carlson, etc. I think the only two gone are Gonzalez and Witten. Right now my choices at the WR/TE spot are Berrian, Hixon, and Sidney Rice. I'm thinking Clark or Gates may give me better value there than any of those guys...

Scoring is 6/td, 1/10yds, 5 bonus for 100+ yards

Yeah Gates is definitely an upgrade over those WR. Berrian might not even play this week. Berrian and Gates would be pretty even most weeks. The other WR you are considering are scrubs.

I would start Gates or Clark over all of those WRs.
