id say no. i think welker is slightly better but part of me is against early trades as all the players are pretty much unknown quantities at this point.

yeah that is basically my strategy here, i think marshall will bounce back and be a beast.. scared welker wont get many td's

I wouldn't touch Marshall this year. If you're a gambling man, then go for it, but odds are not good.

No way in hell I would make that trade. Welker is going to catch a ton of passes. This being a PPR league it makes him extremely valuable.
Marhsall won't catch 100+ balls this year. Not only that he is horrible in the Red Zone. For being so big he is hardly targeted when in the Red Zone. That combined with his attitude problems, not knowing the playbook, and being out almost all preseason it's a bad trade.

alright guys.. appreciate the feedback, im just really not a welker fan for some reason.. but ill hold on to him for now.. i got eddie royal too, got a hunch marshall is gonna come back and play well

Dude you don't need two WR's from the same team. Unless you have Fitz and Boldin.
Not only that but Welker puts up similar stats to Marshall. He also score more TD's 2 years ago when Brady was QB. Brady is back and Welker will have 100+ catches and more TD's then Marshall.
Why take a huge risk with Marshall when you can get the exact same thing with less of a risk in Welker. Yeah he isn't flashy but he is very valuable.

true, well i wasnt going to keep both, i would of packaged royal to get a rb1 to start in my flex.. currently have LJ there, not that i dont like him, just not sure how much he's got left in the tank.

I would much rather have Royal in a PPR league then Marshall. It's hard enough avoiding injuries and players that will have down years. Why take even more of a chance by taking on Marshall. You get the exact same production from Welker. There is no upside to getting Marshall over Welker.

i got welker on all my ppr, he is easily going to give you about 15 pts a game.

No way brotha. Marshall aint going to come in and start dominating people right off the bat. He has been slacking in camp, admitting he doesn't know the play book. Just check Welkers stats from two years ago when Brady was there. You can expect those type numbers from him this year. Also, Welker is a little banged up right now. They say he is supposed to play, but he missed like the last 3 pre season games and has been limited in practice so you never know about the guys in Foxboro.
