Trade deadline is this week and someone offered me a trade in our 10-team KEEPER league that I am seriously considering taking, but am not sure. Currently I am on top of my division, second-place overall in the league at 6-3.
I was offered Calvin Johnson, Aaron Rodgers and Darren McFadden for Anquan Boldin, Jason Campbell and Pierre Thomas.
If this were a re-draft, I'd decline because CJ and McFadden may not be worth much for the remainder of the season, however, getting Rodgers is HUGE. Even if I do not keep him, he has high trade value.
Boldin is frustrating and for 2 years in a row, has not been on the field much. Campbell has potential but who knows who will be coaching there next year or if he's even on the team. Pierre Thomas...who knows if he'll be the man next season?
My team's offense:
QBs: (start 1)
M. Schaub
J. Campbell
RBs: (start 2)
P. Thomas
L. Maroney
C. Portis
R. Mendenhall
S. Slaton
T. Hightower
TEs: (start 1)
H. Miller
C. Cooley
WRs: (start 3)
R. Wayne
H. Ward
S. Rice
A. Boldin
M. Crabtree
Start 1 flex spot also.
SHOULD I DO IT? I'm leaning towrds YES. Boldin would be the big piece I'm giving up, but with his recent health record, CJ would be equal or potentially greater value for a Keeper league. Rodgers over JC would be a huge upgrade. McFadden for Pierre Thomas could be a downgrade but could be a wash. I have better RB talent to start anyways.

I agree with your assessment, and I would do it...
Could even save your ass should Shaub and his fabrege egg tough skull take another knock...
Rodgers could still come in and take you the distance... Campbell would leave you crying over the season that never panned out due to last second injuries.
I see Megatron as an upgrade...
And one thing to keep in mind about McFadden vs PT is that DMC has the better playoff schedule.

Austin and Wells can be kept as keepers, none of the rest can.
As in Peyton Manning...
Then "Maybe" depending on how the rest of your roster looks.
If Eli Manning... Then absolutely not.

Its not my trade. Its a commish question
Well as a guy who's been comisshing various leagues for the last 15 years, my view on trades is "Set a trade deadline around week 9 or 10" (So then people who are tanked out aren't trading their guys away to a contender looking for the next step if he say slips him a $20.)
And then from there... I play "Hands Off" on trades.
I mean really... Who are you to assess someone else's thinking, or someone else's needs, or someone else's vision of a playoff run.
I play in a side league right now with a commish who's only been playing for 4 years...
Having talked with him, he completely lacks an understanding of my gestalt style of how I manage my team... Due to just to the sheer fact that he doesn't have a decade and a half of experience... I would hate to have him turn down a trade of mine due to his "Limited Vision" when it comes to something like the value of matchups in FF playoff time, or my obessive need for added depth at high powered positions. (Because 7 years ago I had 5 injuries hit my starting line up in one week.)

absolutely fair. here's how I commish
I set a trading deadline usually around week 12-13. I am completely hands-off before the season. During the early part of the season, I'm mostly hands off. Once it starts getting later in the season, I apply more scrutiny to trades between teams when one is in the running and the other is eliminated. If a weird trade between a pair of 6-5 teams is offered, I leave it. If a weird trade between a 9-3 team and a 2-10 teams occurs, then I stick my nose in and pay attention
it doesn't need to seem "good" or "fair", it just needs to seem "reasonable".
I was offered Calvin Johnson, Aaron Rodgers and Darren McFadden for Anquan Boldin, Jason Campbell and Pierre Thomas.

I have a trade proposed to me.
I get: Steve Smith (NYG), Ricky Williams or Marshawn Lynch (my choice as to which one, I'm thinking Williams)
I give: Marion Barber, Steve Smith (Carolina). Both having relatively down years, especially Smith.
I need WR depth badly and my other RBs are pretty solid. Here are my other RB/WRs:
RBs:
MJD
Rashard Mendenhall
LeSean McCoy (looking strong without Westbrook starting, but would never start if Westy plays)
Laurence Maroney. (TD in 3 straight weeks, and playing a much more significant role in the Pats O)
WRs:
Dwayne Bowe
Steve Smtih (carolina)
Steve Breaston
Mario Manningham (probably going to drop him soon anyway)

I play on NFLUK Fantasy Football.
So Don't have trades or anything, because you can change your team every week.
Anyway how is my team this week? Any changes or looking like a good week. I am going for TD points (you get 6 per TD and 1 point per 10 yards in the TD play):
QB: Brees
RB: Peterson (Vikes)
RB: Johnson (Tens)
WR: Austin (Cowboys)
WR: V Jax
TE: J Shockey
K: Prater
Team D: Saints.

Who to start for RB this week???
Frank Gore*
MJD
Pierre Thomas
Who to start at WR this week???
White*
Boldin
Edwards
Bowe
Wallace
Breaston
So far I am going with Gore and PT. Don't trust MJD against the Jets on the road who have a tough run defense. I think Gore is money after how poorly the Bears have been playing against the run lately. PT could have a big game or a poor game. I could see the Saints getting up big and early on the Rams by throwing the ball, and Bell pretty much getting 70-80% of the carries in the second half.
For WR I am likeing White, Boldin, and Edwards. White should put up decent numbers 9-12 points, Boldin should be healthy and ready to go against the Seahawks poor pass defense, and Edwards should have a nice game against the Jaguars who rank in the bottom of the league in pass defense. The bye week can only help Sanchez and Edwards.

Besides watching for Boldin being active...I like the choices you already made. The only one that scares me is PT over MJD. But, I don't ever worry about matchups with studs. My concern for MJD isn't NYJs D...it's his own coaching staff, and the fact that JAX D sucks, so they could be playing from behind. If it's PPR, I would stuick with MJD and Gore...if not PT and Gore.

Whats the deal with Steve Smith of NY??? His 3 big games were against teams with not so good pass defense. Is he just now a WR3 or matchups WR or worth making a trade for???
Since I have the Vikings D and Nate Keading, I can trade the Saints D and Kicker Longwell for Smith(NYG). Listed above are my WR's which I would say are average. I just don't know about Manning anymore, seems like he still have lingering foot issues.
See this is why I always set it around week 9 or 10... I mean you have to REALLY be tanking it to be hopelessly eliminated by then.
My Deadline starts at kick off of tomorrow nights game, and our dead dog worst team, is 3 games out of a playoff spot, with 4 to go.
Ours ended at 11am CT today which had the drama meter and 4 trades going off.
However we have to vote majority to veto. That one got vetos and both owners were throwing a fit.

So the dreaded Schaub bye week came...
Which do you like better?
Garrard vs. NYJ (already have him, but Jets give up just 7.0 pts to opposing QBS)
Alex Smith vs. Chi (in the process of claiming him off the ww for garrard)
Chad Henne vs. TB

Who to start RB this week?
Benson
SJax
Ricky Williams
I know the obvious choice is Benson and Sjax, but Miami is playing Tampa Bay and I have a feeling Ricky is gonna explode.
Also, would you start Boldin against Seattle this week over any of these WRs?
Wayne
VJax
Hines Ward
It's almost impossible to sit Wayne and Jackson, but Ward has been iffy lately even tho he scored 2 td's last weekend. Boldin is reporting healthy and he could either have a big game with Warner hot or he could possibly reinjure himself. I'm playing my boss this weekend and I really wanna whoop his ass!

I am in a 2QB starting league, and it is by far my worst position. My QBs are Roethlisberger (good), Alex Smith (decent), And Chad Henne (horrible). I do however have the best WRs by far: Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith (NYG), Mike Sims-Walker, Anquan Boldin, and to top it off Dallas Clark as my TE. It is a start 3WR league, but not PPR. I could potentially pick up a 2nd tier QB like Matt Ryan, Kyle Orton, Jay Cutler, Joe Flacco if I were to give up one of my WRs. I was recently offered Orton for Wayne. QBs get more points in general, so would it be worth it to trade one of my studs to ensure two good QBs?

My WR already are:

Braylon Edwards
Steve Breaston
Dwayne Bowe
Mike Wallace
I have so many because I have been playing matchups since other than White, I don't have a solid #1 or 2 WR.

Smith does have a horrible playoffs schedule, Eagles, Redskins, and Panthers lol
Would Mike Sims-Walker be a better Idea since he has Dolphins, Colts, and Patriots, but its the Jaguars lol.

I like Smith more than Sims-Walker going forward (Garrard is worthless on the road). I'd do that trade in a second.
I've also got a decision:
This is the first time all year I've really been torn on a sit/start decision. PPR league.
Hopefully, Westbrook sits and McCoy gets inserted as my RB2; if not though, I've got to choose between Moreno, LT, Maroney, and McFadden (J. Jones and B. Wells also on roster).
I'm ruling out McFadden since I have no idea how many snaps he'll get, which leaves me with the first three. I'm terrified of LT after last week and along with Maroney, I feel like both of them only have value if they score. I'm leaning toward Moreno now in the hopes that he'll get a few passes and rack up similar yardage as the other two. Thoughts?

I'm really close between Maroney and Moreno. Washington hasn't let up a rushing TD at home all year. If neither one gets a TD, I like Moreno, but Maroney has a better chance of getting in...

I need some help deciding who I should start as a 3rd WR this week.
The choices are........

- Austin Collie (home vs New England)
- Chris Chambers (away vs Oakland)
Our league is standard scoring along with 1 pt for each reception.
Any input is greatly appreciated!

I would give Collie another chance with those choices. All three are marginal WR3s, unless you're in a 12 team league...mainly due to being inconsistent, not based on talent. Nate and Chambers face better than average pass Ds. This Pats v Colts game should be an instant classic, with both QBs playing balls out football. And, if Peyton's throwing, any of his WRs have a shot at a huge game. I think Moss and Wayne will get theirs, but the slot guys, Welker and Collie, should also find success.

Breaston & Smith........
With Boldin still not 100% Breaston is still going to see targets and he's done decent so far this year.

My two D/ST options kind of suck. NE against Ind and GB against Dal

Should I spend the money, or just stick with NE?

2 of these 3-
MJD @ NYJ
Pierre Thomas @ St.L
Ronnie Brown vs. Tampa
Or I can start all 3 and sit either Aaron Rodgers or Joe Flacco, but Rodgers has been hot lately and Flacco goes against Cle, so I think that's a must start too. The chances of them running all over Cle kinda worries me though, they might not need Flacco
Scoring (RBs)- 1/10 yards, 6/TD, .2PPR, bonus of 5 pts at 100 yards
QBs- 1/25 yards passing, 6/TD, -2/INT, bonus of 5 at 300, 8 at 400
Right now I have MJD and PTCruiser, but Brown is due for a big game and he is the focal point of their offense.

Holy hell, how did you get those 4? IMO its between him and Ocho, and Ocho is 100% healthy and has a good QB, so I'd prob start him. All 4 should be good for 10+ points though

I sat Breaston and started Boldin. Breaston had 3 more points than Boldin. I sat Bowe and started Edwards, another 3 points. I started PT and sat MJD 16 points. Not happy about that one but I had it comming. Just barely won this week but points will always be left on peoples bench, it happens.

What is funny is that I have never seen you offer up anything and this forum provides some of the best free info you can get. There are some idiots, but for the most part the info provided here is what you would get on many premium boards.
Another thing, if you played MSW over Wallace after what the Jags have done on the road, the Jets had done and how Wallace has been a solid start the last 5 weeks- You are an idiot. If you decided to play Boldin after his 3 consecutive injury plagues games-You are an idiot. It worked out once, but the numbers didnt back up playing any of these guys. Play MSW in that same situation like the last 4 road games and you would have gotten a 0 or lost beacause Boldin hasnt finished a game.

Dirt, I agree with you on everything but Boldin. He sat last week 9 after a good Fri. practice and practiced in full every day last week. It wasn't a big gamble to expect him to score at least 8 points. Kind of mad Breaston sat on my bench but it is promising that Boldin had 105 yds receiving, hopefully he finds the endzone next week.

Key words, "earlier in the season". Those two are on the same type of rythm they were on when they both broke the touchdown passing/receiving record now.

Starting to think ahead here..... I have both Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark. Both are top at their position and have been huge in fantasy. Wayne has such a high stock right now. I've got great backup WRs (andre johnson, steve smith(nyg), boldin) and great RBs. My QBs are weak (roethlisberger, smith, trying to get campbell of waivers). Yes it is an 8man league which is why teams are this good, and its a 2QB league, and they are so important as they get the most points.
If I get Campbell, would him and Roethlisberger be good starters for the rest of the year and playoffs? I'm tied for first and have clinched a playoff spot but not bye. Week 16 is our championship game. My reason for wanting to trade Wayne now is, with a 9-0 record I can only assume the Colts will be racking up a few more wins and coasting into the playoffs with a 4 game lead over their division. Will they be benching Wayne/Manning/Clark in weeks 15/16 for rest? I'm afraid that could happen when I need them most so I'm thinking of offering a trade of Wayne and maybe a RB i dont need for a big name QB like Schaub or Favre.
THoughts??

Are u really trying to imply the Revis>Moss?? Really? My point is...if you have Randy Moss on your team, its no way u dont start someone who is a first ballot HOF'er who's still playing like they are in their prime, because of a couple games against a random DB. Everyone said Revis would shut down Sims-Walker too. He had 5 catches for 50 yards and a TD, granted that isnt huge, its an average fantasy day. If Sims-Walker can do that I can only imagine what Moss will do since there are other legit WRs to cover

Ok, random was the wrong word...I should have said ANY DB. Its no way I'm gonna bench Moss on my fantasy team even if it was Deion Sanders in his prime covering him. So I'd definately take my chances on a top 10 all-time (IMO) receiver, over Revis...regardless of a couple previous games.

Flacco is killing me though. I lost yesterday because of his stupid 6 points. All I needed was 10. And the Browns give up an avg of 13 fantasy points to QBs. Guess Im just frustrated with him and ready to give up.
Flacco: Indy (averages 10.3 points to QBs), Pitts (10.9), & GB (13.3) [granted, they will more than likely be playing from behind in these games and will have to throw]
Hasselbeck: Min (avg 15.1 points to QBs), Stl (15.9), SF (12.3)

I was pretty high on Hass earlier because his schedule and playoff schedule are awesome(he is my backup for that reason), but you never know if his line can protect him. Anyone that has anything that could be considered a pass rush rips him apart. I think Flacco is still the best option, because I wouldnt trade for Hass.
Minn and SF Def will crush the Seahicks offensive line and Hass will be posting 3 point games.
Indy's pass D is very tough, but a balanced team can light them up. Pitt wont be as tough w/o Troy and divisional games are crazy.
Garrard is too inconsistent to play in your situation

Thanks for the insight on the Seattle offensive line issues. I hadn't though of that aspect. I guess I'll hold off on the Hass trade, despite the easy schedule.

That O-line was so bad several weeks ago but I think they got some of there regulars back from injury, which is a little improvement. When I needed him in place of Manning during the bye week, he got me 1 point against the Cardinals LOL, needless to say I lost that week.

No league at all. It's on NFLUK.com (I AM NOT ADVERTISING), you can join friendly leagues, but they all lead to the same prizes. Each week winner gets a Jersey of their choice, plus an enterance to the the final draw. The overall winner Gets 8 VIP tickets to the Superbowl Party and Superbowl.
You can pretty much change your whole team everyweek. You get $18million to spend on 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, TeamD.
I swapped:
Adrian Peterson $4m for MJD $4m
J Shockey $2m for Vernon Davies $2m
Then If I get rid of Brees, which you're telling me not to I would have $4m I could buy any QB in the league, but I think Brees, P.Manning and Rivers might lead the weekend.
But yeah, it's kinda hard, especially when the game week freezes about an hour before the games. So I effectively have until Thursday Night 12am (UK time) to get my team in for this game week. Can't change it till Tuesday (damn thursday games). Which makes it an inconvience as Injury reports don't come out usually till Friday.

Pretty sure points only means anything when determining who is first place when 2 teams have the same # of wins. The team with the 6th best record would get the spot regardless of points.

I might as well post this in here as well:
Pick three guys (RB, WR, Flex), please. It's a 10-team PPR.
LT, McCoy, Moreno, Wells, Ward and Smith (nyg).
Currently, I've got LT, McCoy and Smith locked in, but I really don't want to bench Ward. I just feel like Smith could have a huge game at home coming off the bye -- if the Giants win, it'll be big, and if they lose, it'll be a shootout; either way, lots of points for them.
For McCoy, he's the new man in Philly and has scored double digit points in every game he's started in place of Westbrook this season -- not to mention, it's a PPR and he's a big part of the passing offense.
Lastly, with LT, he's facing a team (Denver) that has given up 500 rushing yards in the last three weeks -- the Chargers are in a must win situation since they all ready lost to Denver and LT is coming off a game where he ran for 100 yards and scored two TDs off a very good defense (Eagles).
Since writing that, I'm leaning toward Ward over McCoy though...I can be convinced to change my mind though, haha.

Currently, I've got LT, McCoy and Smith locked in, but I really don't want to bench Ward. I just feel like Smith could have a huge game at home coming off the bye -- if the Giants win, it'll be big, and if they lose, it'll be a shootout; either way, lots of points for them.
Ward's matchup is too good against the chiefs man... their secondary is terrible.
----
Need to start 2 this week at RB:
Ray Rice, Ricky Williams, Steven Jackson
Jackson is a lock
Rice is usually a lock but Williams now has a starting job and a great matchup against the Panthers

Its the best site I have seen. The forums are free and the news on the front page is better than anything Yahoo and ESPN put out.
Next season pay $20 and you can generate custom draft rankings-they are the most accurate site. During the week they give you waiver wire moves, start/bench and a ton of tools like strength of schedule(Provides points given up by defenses to idividual positions).
Check it out next March.

Quick question..start Aaron Rodgers vs. SF or Matt Schaub vs. TEN.
Schaub torched the Titans for 350+/4 TDs earlier in the year, but can I really bench Rodgers?

I would go with Rodgers. Despite getting sacked 80 times a game he still puts up huge numbers. And the 49s are near last in producing sacks. So I like his chances.
Schaub will probably still play well, but the Titans D has been generating alot of turnovers the last 3 games.

Reggie Bush might not go this weekend and I have Mike Bell and PT. Thinking about playing both. My decision right now at the Flex is between Mike Bell, Mike Wallace and Nate Washington. I usually play Wallace, but KC isnt giving anything to secondary WRs because the #1s crush them. Washington is just too inconsistent with Young at QB.

You gotta play schaub on monday night against a weak secondary. I would 100% go with Schaub, no looking back, san frans defense is solid.

I think you have to go with Schaub, Tenn is doing better but against BAD teams. Given his history of cracking the Titans you have to go with Schaub.

Thanks, I was leaning towards Schaub because he destroyed them last time and I do know SF is a solid D.
Schaub has been my starter all season and I'm 7-3 in second-place in this keeper league. I just picked up Rodgers in a trade last week for Schaub's bye week.
Schaub it is.
THANKS!
Opponent has Carson Palmer starting and just lost Ronnie Brown to IR and is already 2-8. The Yahoo projections have me +33.24 with Schaub plugged in...but of course they'll be adding another RB to their roster to replace Brown. I should win with either QB, but just wanted to settle on one.
1st and 3rd-place teams are playing each other, I could move into the lead.

Just wanted to make a comment, about me hating the Patriots franchise even more for not punting that damn ball. Made me go down to 5-5 in my money league when Wayne scored that game winning TD. Sucks, now I HAVE to win the rest of my games to earn a playoff spot. And all my 5 losses are all combined for a total of 44 points....feels bad man.

It does suck because the guy is trying to steal your money. I was in a league where a guy was trading his brother players for bye weeks and then making exact same trades to get the players back after his brother didnt need them anymore. Short of kicking the guys ass there isnt anything you can do except let him win and find another league.

Thing is... The guy who can beat me isn't the League Manager, the guy who traded him was. And his main argument was that if he thought he was improving his team, he would make a trade up to the ESPN imposed deadline, whether he was 9-0 or 0-9.
I just said it was ridiculous to be trading when you're mathematically out of it to someone who can still win, because they were the only ones to benefit.

The only option that would be better out there are the Lions, only because they are playing the worst offense of all time. Cleveland has 5 offensive TDs all year. Peyton Manning had 3 in the first half against NE. If it doesn't cost any money for a transaction, pick them up. While the Jags look like a good option, they are going to be replacing an injured CB with a horrible CB, so no go.
The two options that you have are almost equally horrible. I mean horrible. But the lesser of the two evils would be the Broncos, I would say.

Pick 2 of 3 to start
Knoshown Moreno vs SD
Jason Snelling vs NYG
Ladelle Betts vs Dallas
I am thinking Snelling for sure as NYG has been giving up like 4.5 ypc this year and I want to start Betts since he has been very very solid since Portis went down and they give him the ball a ton since the Skins offense sucks, but Dallas is the best in the league against the run I think and have only given up like 2 rushing td's or something crazy.
Moreno appears to be taking over the starting spot with Buckhalter missing practice and i think fumbling last week, but he is still there to take some carries away and Moreno hasn't put up a big week yet this year.

As a Michael Turner owner, I picked up Snelling as well and he is starting. Atlanta loves to run the ball and the offense is built around that. Snelling will get the carries. Another benefit for Snelling, is he can also catch. So he will be getting receiving yards as well. Win Win.
I would also go with Betts. The good thing about him, is he doesnt have to split carries with anyone. He is the guy, and Washington is going to have to establish the run to keep Dallas' offense off the field.
[note: Last time Moreno played SD he had 18 carries for 44 yards and 4.3 points. not that great]

4- or 6-team league?
12 team bro.
My league is a keeper league, where you keep a player 5 spots higher than the year before, when you drafted him. Since it's a 1 QB league, I drafted Rivers in 2008 in the 13th round...so he was my 8th in 2009. CJ, I drafted in the 9th in 2008...so 4th this year. Here's how I got this team.
Rivers - 8th round keeper
Fitz - 1st round 2009
Colston - 3rd round 2009
Marshall - 5th round 2009
CJ - 4th round keeper
Gore - trade
Benson - 6th round 2009
Keller - 12th round keeper
Longwell - 18th round 2009
New Orleans - 20th round 2009
I picked in the 5th slot. RBs went like crazy, so I went with WRs...praying CJ payed off this year. I took Fitz, Colston and TO with my 1st 3 picks...then kept CJ in the 4th...then Marshall in the 5th...taking 4 WRs with my picks. I "settled" for Benson in the 6th, after most starting RBs were taken. Even though they are now studs...Benson and Marshall were huge ?s 2 weeks before the season started. Miles Austin, I drafted in the 13th round...when other managers were taking Defenses and kickers...I wanted to take a shot at guessing who would step up in Dallas, and had my choice down to Austin or Hurd...glad I picked Austin.

Bernard should be in for a good game. Hopefully, Lewis will give some idea of his plans...people are anticipating him getting 18-29 touches.
Hightower and Caddy are high risk/reward type guys. New Orleans offense could doom Caddy if they light up TBs D early. Timmy gets the opposite luxury, they should be up and running in the 2nd half.
Lynch has been disappointing so far, and the Bills offense can't be trusted imo.
I'd go with Scott and Hightower, especially with the ppr points.

Which two RB's do I start this week?
I got:

Marion Barber v Washington
Cad Williams V New Orleans
Ryan Moats V Tenn
Larry Johnson @ Oakland
Right now I got the top two starting which I think is right. Any other suggestions?

You have the right two starting. Johnson wont get much of anything yet, if he ever does-The guy is truley finished. Moats is a gamble and Caddy is the same. The only for sure thing you have right now is the top two backs, not the greatest, but you gotta get the sure points.
* I actually think LT will do something today. Denvers run D has gone to **** and LT has slowly picked it up the last few weeks.

I have a chance to pick up Tony Scheffler (versus SD who apparently can't defend TEs well). Should I put faith in Jason Witten against Washington or should I pick up Scheffler?

Scheffler is a decent sleeper pick this weekend. I dont trust the Broncos offense, but in a pinch he is as good as any ww TE.

I've plugged in Caddy the last few weeks with Slaton's status uncertain and he's performed pretty well. I wouldn't expect HUGE numbers from him, but he's a good bet for quite a few carries and he's been a pretty popular passing target this year too. Personally, I'd start him ahead of Scott.

Tight leash? He is one of two backs on the roster and the other one is Aaron Stecker who is a 3rd down back at best. Short playbook? You got a link for that?
Snelling is going to carry the load and will do a decent job today. I think he is a pretty safe play and is not on a short leash whatsoever with Norwood and Turner both inactive.

That's a tough call, but I do believe that both will play well regardless. I think San Diego have more at stake today, and Denver has looked really shaky the last few weeks so I might be more comfortable starting Rivers. I don't think either would be considered a bad choice though.

Just listened to Jay Glazier talking about Snelling and Falcons practices and how he WON'T be carrying the load, and the running game will take a backseat to Ryan and air attack. With that said he may have a lot of carries in short yardage situations.

Saying the Falcons are going to air it out and Snelling is on a short leash is totally different. And not to mention he had 25 carries and was the only RB to get a carry for the Falcons. So i am pretty sure that is carrying the load.

Right now I have:
Knowshon Moreno

Justin Forsett.

Sproles and Caddy are the only two on that list worth rosetring. Felix Jones gets like 6 carries a game and with MB3 back he is nothing more than a return man. I could see LT going down like he has the last two(?) years and Sproles being a point machine.

He seems to have cut down his dancing around in the backfield a whole helluva lot, you know. That being said, I'm biased in this matter, because I want him to become the back that he was drafted to become, since it makes New England even more potent. But yeah, there are still doubts there, Maroney is scoring TDs, but he's getting tons of opportunities, and his numbers should be better than they are.

I think they'll be a solid play. I don't think Tampa Bay's WRs will do too much damage to ATL secondary, well i can see Bryant having a decent day. ATL does have a good pass rush when they are on their game. They are a pretty good spot start i'd say.

Ok guys, this week means it all for me. I win and I wrap up the division and the 3 seed. If I lose there is a strong chance I don't make the playoffs. Non PPR, all TDs 6 and bonus heavy league. We start QB/RB/RB/Flex/WR/WR/TE/DST/K
My Options
QB - Big Ben or Hasslebeck (I'm starting Hasslebeck right now against STL)
RB - Chris Johnson, Forte, PThomas, J Lewis
WR - Smith (NYG), TJ, Boldin, Coles
TE - Vernon Davis, John Carlson
DST - Steelers, Cardnials, Dolphins(picked off the wire they are playing Buffalo)
My main concern is the Flex position. I feel ok with CJ obviously but which other RB to start. I'm leaning Thomas and possibly benching Forte and then putting Coles (CLE) or TJ (@STL) in the flex. If the Seahawks play a nice game I could double up the touchdowns if any go to TJ.
As far as DST I'm thinking the Dolphins (@ BUF) versus the Steelers (@ BAL) or C ARZ (@ TEN)

I tentatively have Snelling in since "who knows what's up with JJ" plus Forsett did not impress on the ground and it's NOT a PPR league.
Rock Cartwright actually put up big fantasy numbers last week without scoring...but I do agree Snelling is better IF Turner doesn't come back and steal any carries. Was just wondering if anyone knew for sure about Turner's status.

If Big Ben is playing... Then I say you have to start him... Last I heard his status was looking positive but still unclear.
I think you should start CJ, PT and Forte at Flex.
The Vikes D-Line is starting to show signs of a little late season wear down when it comes to runstopping... And these conference games like this always tend to find ways to exploit this sort of thing.
WR... I say Steve Smith, and Boldin.
Vernon Davis Obviously...
But I say Steelers D.
Miami always plays schitzo up north this time of year... Pit and Bal know each other so well that they usually play closer to a double shut out than a blow out...
^^^^Note this is based off the assumption that your D gets points for things like Less Yards and Points allowed.
If your D only scores on Sack, fumb, Int etc... Then I'd swing back over to Miami, who has a better chance of capitalizing on Buf's mistakes in random game moments.
*******
I know... I know... You're staring at Seattle playing Chit Louis, and thinking "Come on, I have to get me a piece of that matchup!"
But I think right now in FF, the Ram's and their weak record and foibled offensive stats are a little bit of "Fools Gold." Spags is trying to give that D heart, this is the perfect chance for that... And the Seahicks aren't really playing inspired or consistent these days.

Ugh so tough and I have to have this game. You really think Steelers D with all their injuries?

Is it a little bit of a gamble... Sure what isn't.
But Miami playing AT Buffalo is also a gamble
The Steelers have a knack for playing up on Big Games, especially against the Ravens.
This is one of those times when "Winners always want the ball." Or as Emerson said "Fortune Favors the Bold."
I mean if you have to pick a winner between two poodles fighting each other and 2 pit bulls fighting each other. I think you can expect that there will be more opportunities for Damage done if you pick amongst the Pit Bulls, instead of the Yappin' ass Poodles!

This FF season has turned into a nice one for me. I won my game last week on Monday night by .20 of a point. With that win I clinched a playoff spot (only one in my league so far).

What do you guys think?
Hasselbeck- dont think too much about this. No pass rush, no anything on that defense and I think I read that Bulger was out. SEA offense will be on the field all game. I caught some of the Rams last game and they are terrible on defense.
Johnson, PT and Forte-Scoring dictates playing RBs in this situation. Forte and PT are huge problems, but you can take refuge in the fact that the Saints really put Thomas to work against the good teams. They share the work against the Bucs etc and really let him get at it against anyone with a decent defense.
WR- I dont know man, there is a ton if uncertainty in there. Who knows if TJ will get anything and if he doesnt you are F'd by playing the combo. If you want to combo go with Carlson, QB/TE combos are a lot more beneficial and less damaging if nothing happens. Coles is the least attractive of the group and the other are all about the same.
TE-You have to play Davis.
DEF-Steelers, dont like it but its the best you have.

The other options were trading Akers for Elam which meant I could Trade Sims-Walker for Steve Smith (NYG). Thats the only thing I have at the moment, but realise it is a very strong team. Hoping to rack over 100 points.

I hear ya... I mean my team is twice as strong and just as long as an ogre's dong... And I'm in 3rd place.
I think you have to stand pat or you're only going to risk giving yourself a case of what I call "Think yourself Stupid."

Yep, I think two weeks ago I spent about 3 hours thinking of who to put in right up until the game freeze just went with gut instinct and scored 101 points. So was happy about that so i have been going with that the last 2 weeks and this is the third week i have sort of done that. I mean I am a long way off top spot (for that Superbowl VIP Tickets and VIP @ the Superbowl Party) I think about 285 points, so I have to make that up in 4-5 weeks. Somehow, but yeah, aslong as I keep getting close to 100+ then I will be fine. and If I make it never now as it is 10 tickets and I live in the UK and only have about 4 friends who watch NFL I may be able to meet some people in Florida ;)

Steve Slaton worth the start this week? I have two RB slots and one of them is taken by Ray Rice. Other options are Jonathon Stewart and Ryan Moats.

Starting Hasselbeck over Schaub this week and Felix Jones over MWallace/Nwashington. Gotta win out to grab first place and $500.
Not an easy feeling going into this weekend starting those two. But, the Colts havent allowed more than 1 passing TD in a game, they do allow some yardage though. Thinking that without a rush Hass should be able to put up more than Schaub and a few TDs.
Starting Felix because there isnt anything else and Jerruh ordered Wade to run him more. Oak has allowed dual 100 yard rushers in a few games and their run defense is very poor.
