Just dropped R. Grant for James Jones. Who I guess I have starting this week.

I am already starting R. Torain.. It now basically comes down to also starting T. Hightower, or Antonio Brown in Flex position. I have L. Fitz, B. Lloyd, M. Hasselback and M. Lynch on bye week.

League is 1 PPR.

Someone who is 7th on the waiver order has text his brother who is 1st on the waiver order, telling him to pick up Tebow so he can trade with him. The person who is first on the waiver order hardly ever plays in the league and rarely picks up players. He wasn't going to pick up Tebow but is now doing so after his brother told him to. Is this unfair on the person who is 2nd on the waiver order who is desperate for a QB? To me this seems like a weasel move as the person who is 2nd on the waiver wire cannot get in contact with the number 1, and will therefore miss out on Tebow, and it seems like the person in 7th is taking advantage due to his brother not really taking the league seriously.

What action can/should be taken here?

Yea that would upset me being a commish. Its one thing if a guy is simply giving his thoughts on who to pick up, but this guy is having his brother grab Tebow so he can get him himself. And, not wanting tebow in the first place, and being brothers i doubt its going to take much for a trade. but it sounds like something you might be able to take a stand on.

Edit: Ive only been commish starting this year, so im also looking forward to seeing how nainoa would handle the situation..

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, so long as he makes a fair trade for Tebow. I like the tactic actually.

Not in a million years. Sure, Turner has put up decent fantasy points, but he is a terrible runner. Averaging less ypc than Shonn Greene! He is a glorified goal back. I say Greene finishes ahead of him this year... of course that's just a hunch. I own Vjax, and would have to wrestle with giving him up one for one for Turner

I'm probably in the minority but I'm pretty sure I'd do it - hamstring injuries like Julio's can linger and I don't think Matt Moore is a substantial downgrade from Henne - depending on how much he likes Marshall, it could actually improve Marshall's situation

Julio is probably a little safer when healthy, but Marshall will always have tremendous upside...unfortunate such a good talent is stuck in that spot

I feel like Harvin is one of those players at some point is going to have a huge break out game. The problem is I can't predict when. I have kept him in my lineup all year based on my own personal hunch, but I don't know if I can continue to rationally recommend him to other people given his performance so far. Thomas is a decent back. If you need a back over a WR, it's not a bad deal.

I keep Stevie in the lineup until Andre Johnson is healthy again then I'd Try and deal Andy Dalton and Stevie for an upgrade at QB. I'd probably pull the trigger. Andre is a beast when healthy and Dalton isn't too bad. Plus Manning goes downhill midseason every year I swear.

yeah i got away with a nice sell high/buy low...rivers has been known to turn it on in the 2nd half, hoping that happens...i'm just hoping the guy i'm trying to trade w/ accepts the trade for bradshaw. we were close, but he didn't get his WW rb (starks) that he wanted so he backed out

stick with Foster i picked up Torain (i'm very bad at rb) and even though the Eagles cannot stop the run, and Torain is the hot hand i am still worried about his production just because of how crazy the RB deal is over in Washington, even when a running back has a good week it is uncertain whether they will get 5, or 25 touches the next week in washington. stick with the stud

He looks really good to me. Nice speed for his size, and has great hands out of the backfield. He's the reason why I haven't pushed harder to trade one of my wide receivers for RB help. I'm confident that he will be a top 15 back the rest of the way. Miami didn't have any problem givng him the ball before, and I'm sure they won't now with Moore at QB. I also think its a plus that he's missed so much time so far. He has fresh legs right now, so he should avoid the rookie wall. He hits the hole extremely hard. I know it sounds like i'm gassing the guy, but he surely has talent and opportunity.

I personally don't think it's collusion. The guy with the #1 waiver can choose who he wants for whatever reason he wants. As long as the trade for Tebow is fair then there isn't a problem. Sounds like the guy in 2nd spot is just upset he isn't getting his guy.

He looks really good to me. Nice speed for his size, and has great hands out of the backfield. He's the reason why I haven't pushed harder to trade one of my wide receivers for RB help. I'm confident that he will be a top 15 back the rest of the way. Miami didn't have any problem givng him the ball before, and I'm sure they won't now with Moore at QB. I also think its a plus that he's missed so much time so far. He has fresh legs right now, so he should avoid the rookie wall. He hits the hole extremely hard. I know it sounds like i'm gassing the guy, but he surely has talent and opportunity.

As strange as it is to say... I gotta go McGahee on that one... Denver is going to have to fall on it's run game and short passing game HARD to protect Tebow... And I think it means more opportunities in the long run for McGahee... Who is also more effective at the stripe than Moreno.


I would love to love Felix Jones... But he just doesn't have the size and durability to go between the tackles... And scat back who's lost a step just doesn't fit into a passing game meant to spread the field or dump it down to Witten and Bennett...

Browns CB Joe Haden (knee) missed another practice Friday and is not expected to play in Week 6.
Coach Pat Shurmur revealed Friday that Haden hasn't even resumed running yet. Defenses have recently been assigning their top cornerbacks to cover Denarius Moore, and Haden likely would've given him the same treatment in Sunday's game against the Raiders. Haden's absence will move usual slot CB Dimitri Patterson out to left corner, giving Moore a plus matchup. Moore is a better bet for fantasy production than Darrius Heyward-Bey in Week 6.

I probably would have dropped Hightower. Even if he has a couple more good games, he could have some very bad ones as well, point wise.

Between Thomas and Battle I think its a tough call at this point. Battle had a pretty good game, and KC looks like they may be coming together. Miami however, now has a rookie QB, and if Thomas excels, that could be very favorable for him.

I would also drop hightower for the fact that torain was originally gonna be the go to back with hightower a 3rd down back. That was the reason that he was traded there but with shannahan as the coach none of there rb's are a SURE thing. I would drop him and pick up battle.

I would like some advice on week 6 starters and my long-time strategy considering bye weeks.

This is my current roster. Salary cap, non-ppr, yahoo scoring.

So the first problem here is that obviously, 2/3 of my team are gone next week. It's a salary cap league so I don't have a bench and I won't be able to afford to drop all of these players and pick them back up once they're active again. Defense is not a problem and neither is the kicker really, I can afford to switch around a little here. Then I'm thinking about replacing Green with Decker, Hernandez with a different TE (Cook?) and riding it out with Welker and Jackson through their bye. I don't know how you usually deal with bye weeks in a salary cap. Does this make sense?

I also just got my RB2, TE, DEF and K this week, so I am open to switching around here. Is Torain worth it in the long run? Cheaper RBs would be Graham, Ingram, Sproles, I'm really just looking for an affordable, good second RB, preferably one that doesn't bother me with bye weeks anymore. I could also start Torain this week and switch next week, so Battle is an option.

Would you suggest a different defense than Cin? I thought about maybe WAS or MIN. I could even go so far as to hire the Jets against Miami if I was to go with a cheaper RB2.

I know it's a huge post, so I'd be happy about any kind of advice.

i was about to type about how weak our pass D is, how Terrence McGee is out, and Leodis Mckelvin sucks, then i see on the news that McGee will play as a Bills fan i hope that helps alot, as a fantasy owner i will still be starting Cruz, because i doubt it will help very much. i think most owners should be fine starting Cruz as long as Manning doesn't begin his second half slump this week and turn it over a ton. as for Cruz vs. Nicks, i don't exactly follow the Giants too much, so i don't know who's better skill wise, both are very good options this week, personally i'd go with the hot hand in Cruz but it's basically a gut call for you on this one

the fact of Smith is true, i saw him come very close to catching what would have been a 60+ TD reception but feel just out of reach 2 weeks ago, still a big gamble in my opinion but i really do think he could have another big game or two coming up

I would probably roll with freeman this week. It's a divisional opponent and they got embarrassed last week so I think he is going to bring his A game. Also Blount is out so they are going to have to rely on Freeman more.

Smith has played well this year but he has done it in more of a game management roll. It seems like the 49ers have been more successful by leaning on their running game and defense.

you have to give up a stud to get Rodgers. I would sell Rodger high maybe Rice and another WR2 thats consistence.
