You should use whey protein with dextrose after lifting, maybe creatine.
Omega 3 supplement like flaxseed oil or sth fish oil and some multivitamin.

That's all. I think those are supplements that every bodybuilder and athlete should use.

I'd say just whey and a multi, or fish oil. Not creatine though. That'll dehydrate you, unless you drink a ton of water. You don't want to cramp up.

any whey will do? how about a mass gainer?

yeah and i've heard about this fish oil / isn't omega-3 usually taken in a pill form? A guy at GNC gave me this starburst like thing like was an omega-3, so I guess it could be in that form too.

You should use creatine in preseason, and in season if you see some strength decrease, but always gotta drink plenty of water.

It's really not imortant what brand do you'll buy. I like Dymatize elite whey, great taste, but it's not important.
Fish oil, or flaxseed oil can be bought bottled or you can buy it in softgels(capsule with oil in it). I use softgels, don't really like the taste of oil in mouth so i prefer softgels.
Everything clear now?

NO CREATINE! it'll make you dehydrated because you can't drink as much, and if you do you'll get cramps. stick with protein and fish oil.

A lot of guys told me they use creatine in their pwm, 5 grams. Do you said that for cretaine loading or for that small amount?

I used creatine only in preseason when lifting hard, I didn't use it inseason, but i'm planing this year. I play bball.

You think that I shouldn't use creatine inseason at all?

Thanks

Creatine isnt supposed to dehydrate you. Ive read a lot of people arguing about whether or not it does or doesnt. I smell Broscience. I say just take the creatine and if you notice adverse effects then stop taking it. You know your body best, so you decide what you take and what you dont.

Oh and I personally just take Whey and creatine during football season.

No point. One should be putting on mass during the off season, not during the season. Muli, fish oil (everyone regardless of fitness level should probably take these), whey and creatine. No need to "cycle" off these products. Flaxseed oil is kinda retarded IMO because it has no fiber and is mainly ALA whereas fish oil has the more beneficial DHA/EPA (flaxseed powder is a better option than oil but is still meh), and to whoever asked if a powder version of fish oil exists I'm pretty sure it doesn't.

omega 3 is one of the fatty acids that is in fish oil.
omega 6 is also included.

Fish oil, omega 3, flaxseed, just pick one of them. You can also pick some cod liver oil, it is cheaper, but gotta be careful with dosage.

I have seen it posted several times....but never WHY you should take it.

Research studies show fish oil benefits are down right amazing.

And knowing this is the second most important thing you can do for your health. (We'll get to #1 in importance soon.)

Studies are published almost daily as the scientific community discovers more and more of the many extraordinary omega 3 fish oil benefits.

If you haven't already been swept up in the net yet, here are 7 proven omega 3 benefits you should know about.

1. Less Pain and Inflammation. Omega 3 fatty acids, particularly EPA, have a very positive effect on your inflammatory response. Through several mechanisms, they regulate your body's inflammation cycle, which prevents and relieves painful conditions like arthritis, prostatitis, cystitis and anything else ending in "itis."

2. Cardiovascular Health. Omega 3 fatty acids have also been proven to work wonders for your heart and the miles and miles of arteries and veins that make up your cardiovascular system. They help to lower cholesterol, tryglicerides, LDLs and blood pressure, while at the same time increasing good HDL cholesterol. This adds years to your life expectancy.

3. Protection from Stroke and Heart Attack. When plaque builds up on arterial walls and then breaks loose, it causes what's known as a thrombosis, which is a fancy way of saying clot. If a clot gets stuck in the brain, it causes a stroke and when it plugs an artery, it causes a heart attack. Research shows omega 3 fatty acids break up clots before they can cause any damage.

4. Better Brain Function and Higher Intelligence. Pregnant and nursing mothers can have a great impact on the intelligence and happiness of their babies by supplementing with fish oil. For adults, omega 3 improves memory, recall, reasoning and focus. You'll swear you're getting younger and smarter.

5. Less Depression and Psychosis. Making you smarter is not all omega 3 does for your brain. Psychiatry department researchers at the University of Sheffield, along with many other research studies, found that omega 3 fish oil supplements "alleviate" the symptoms of depression, bipolar and psychosis (Journal of Affective Disorder Vol. 48(2-3);149-55).

6. Lower Incidence of Childhood Disorders. Just to show how fish oil fatty acids leave nobody out, studies show that children (and adults) with ADD and ADHD experience a greatly improved quality of life. And those with dyslexia, dyspraxia and compulsive disorders have gotten a new lease on life thanks to omega 3 oils.

7. Reduction of Breast, Colon and Prostate Cancer. And finally, omega 3 fish oil has been shown to help prevent three of the most common forms of cancer ? breast, colon and prostate. Science tells us that omega 3s accomplish this in three ways. They stop the alteration from a normal healthy cell to a cancerous mass, inhibiting unwanted cellular growth and causing apoptosis, or cellular death, of cancer cells.

So you can see why knowing these benefits is the second most important thing you can do for your health. Can you guess what number one is?

That's right! Now it's time to put your knowledge to work. Eat more cold water oily fish and start taking good quality pure omega 3 fish oil supplements regularly.

You're asking irrelevant questions. Pick the cheapest whey, and some creatine monohidrat, every is the same, just get it and use it.

Ofcourse it dosen't matter, it will be the same in offseason as inseason.
When it comes to fish oil softgels, multivitamin, you have to see what is the quality, with whey and creatine is pretty much the same.

Got a 10lb bag with 155 servings for $75 with the coupon 5offOpt100Whey10Lb.

Best deal for protein I've seen yet and its the #1 seller on the bodybuilding.com store. The main thing is just make sure you take in enough calories to maintain for how much your working. The easiest way to lose is not take enough calories and if you stop lifting, losing muscle is unavoidable.

Why would quality matter for fish oil and multis but not protein and creatine?
Op just buy some Prolab Creapure and Xtreme Formulations Whey or Myofusion (they taste fcking amazing) and call it a day.

I always look for concentration in fish oil and see if there's any vitamin E in there. Multi, I also need to check what is in there and how much.

With whey I just need to know is it a concentrate or isolate, and that's all. If you're not a bodybuilder you won't have to bother is there is 1g or 2g of fat in 100g of whey.
And creatine monohidrate, every is the same.
take a look at this fish oil, the best i ever used, awesome

I really do not see anything wrong with taking a little creatine during season especially when taken in a post workout or post practice shake. Just hydrate normally through out the day and you will be fine. Before practice may not be the best option for some but I have never had a problem with it but I always drank more than my teammates.
