Hello, I am currently unsure if these foods are ok on keto.....
* Berries (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries....etc)
* Cheese
* I am pretty sure fruit is a no go, right?
Thanks.....

Berries are definitely a no go, they have too much sugar.
Cheese is ok, it's pretty low in carbs, but I probably wouldn't go overboard on it.
The answer is that anything is allowed on a keto diet- as long as it fits in the macros. The macros are designed for a very small amount of carbs (~30g or so) to keep you in Ketosis. If you look at the macronutrient profile of a typical fruit, for example, you'll see that for example, a medium apple has about 25g of carbs. There is nothing stopping you from eating a few apple slices or something like that however. Just be careful. A cup of Raspberries has 15g of Carbs, although 8g of that is Fiber. It's not that bad.
Note that for most people, you can eat a lot more than 30g of Carbs and stay in Ketosis. <100g is the number for most people.

After you get the swing of things some fresh berries are cool.

Cheese is fine, you can eat berries in moderation, as long as they fit in your macros. Gotta say, at this time of year, I just grab blackberries off the bush and munch them without counting anything....
I tend to feel that wild fruit is ok on keto, simply because it is so small and so much less sweet than the stuff in the supermarket. I eat wild cherries and apples when I can find them. Wild apples are smaller than cherries, and pretty sour!

Macros is short for macronutrients... protein, carbs fat. "Fitting into your macros" is a way of saying that you are fine as long as what you eat stays within the percentages of 65% fat, 5% carbs and 30% protein.

Because you wouldn't believe the number of people who think that it's a great idea to eat jelly beans all day, because they are fat free and lower calorie than say, salmon.

Stay under 30 gr of carbs a day and don't worry about it. The stix are not needed.

Cheese is great! Can't really go overboard as long as you stay within your allotted protein and fat for the meal/day.
Nothing wrong with a handful of berry's every now and then. Don't overdo it. Berries have the lowest sugar levels of most fruits out there. Blackberries, blueberries, etc.

back when "low fat" was the rage the joke was always if your % of fat calories got too high go to the sugar bowl and increase your fat free calories.
