Just a rant, I love oatmeal, but I have no central AC, so my kitchen is sweltering and the last thing I want to eat is a hot bowl of oatmeal.
And cold oatmeal sucks!

just pour the oatmeal in water or milk and drink it up... thats what I do every once in a while. It isn't as bad as it sounds.

There are some good creative ways to eat oatmeal in shakes in the nutrition section. I think your right hot weather hot oatmeal would not mix.

Give cold oatmeal another chance! It's awesome!
I make mine overnight. I use 1 part oatmeal [i.e. 1/3c oats] to two parts liquid [1/3c yogurt AND 1/3c soymilk or just straight up 2/3c soymilk], Stir it all together and stick it in the fridge overnight. When I get up in the morning, it just needs to be stirred a bit, maybe add a tiny bit more liquid and then I add my mix-ins and chow down. I usually add a flavored whey protein [like Banana or Cookies & Cream], some ground flaxseed, chopped almonds, berries, and cottage cheese. If it's a treat kind of day I add whipped cream or SF Chocolate syrup. The Mix-In possibilities are endless!

How I like summer oats: Raw and soaked overnight in OJ in the fridge... some raisins mixed in plump up nicely... and some chopped nuts give it a great texture. The refreshing OJ flavor makes it very different from the hot cuddy oats of winter.

I agree! Cold oatmeal might not be good, but chilled oatmeal is awesome! You don't even have to cook it. Just soak it overnight. Throw some frozen berries in there.
