About a week ago I took a step off of a deck onto the sand at the beach and my ankle kind of gave out on me. Almost brought me to ground, but it did not hurt after that. However, my ankle for the past week would "crack" every so often if I move it certain ways and would be a little sore, nothing seriously painful though.
Well, I'm just coming off of a minor quad tear and have been taking it light on legs for the past 2 weeks so yesterday I was ready and fiending to squat heavy, so I wasn't going to let some minor pain in my ankle stop me!
So I did, and I broke a new PR squatting 315x3!! All day yesterday, my ankle and quads felt GREAT.. I was psyched..!! Well today, when I walk properly (feet facing forward) I have a slightly greater pain in my ankle =( However, if I walk when my feet angled outward (10 to 2) the pain is almost non-exsistant.
This minor pain however, does come and go. Along with the 'cracking' sound. I'm not sure what I did, but I would like to keep lifting heavy!
Any advice on what I did and how I should treat this matter?
