Was workin out with the wife and we were cooling down and stretching out on those workout balls. She tired to do some push ups with her hands on them and was having difficulty. I thought... ok what the hell...

Man... harder than i thought.

I hate how the other trainers at my gym center the entire workouts around those damn things. However, they do have a few good uses like the push ups.

If it was too hard to get a full set in with the ball under your hands, try having the ball under your feet and your hands on the ground. Here's the progression from easiest to hardest:

ball on your shins
ball on your shoe laces
ball on your tippy toes

OR you could put one of those foam rollers under your hands instead of this ball stuff. Or you can put two medicine balls under your hands.

LOL...

During an aptitude test in high school there was a word problem on probablity. It talked about 5 red balls and 2 blue balls in a sack. It asked something about the probability of getting one or both blue balls. lol.

I agree. My trainer was always doing pushups variations on chest day and those got thrown into the mix.

Or you can put two medicine balls under your hands.

I've done this when I workout w/ my son. It's from his summer lifting routine for football. Another variation is to just have 1 medicine ball under 1 hand and the other hand on the floor....do a push-up...while still in the up position, roll the ball sideways to the other hand, and do a push-up....roll it back, etc.

Doing these toward the end of the routine is an butt kicker......or maybe it's just the trying to keep up with him that's kicking my butt.....

I want to see him do that without the spotter! Then I will be impressed!

where is BH when you need him?

I saw a guy on that same kind of ball trying to do kneeling db shoulder presses, near a plate glass window. He was trying to get on the ball in a kneeling position, without his feet touching the ground, and then do shoulder presses.

I just stay away from those things, I think they have some sort of stupidity causing chemical on them.

a one arm overhead bb press with 135lbs on a fitness ball while playing a trumpet would be even more impressive.

If he had a whistle in his mouth... where would he put the trumpet?
