He's still in. He's an E-9 now.
As per SOP, he didn't pull any punches. Saw some pics of me on facebook and commented that I was looking fat. haha.
Now that's motivation right there.

I should have stayed in.....being a soldier was one of the few things I was really good at...my buddies still give me S**t...and it's part of the drill.......I always tell them if they can out lift me...I'll buy the beer...there is only one guy I won't bet with...he is still lifting heavy....

I was a SSgt ( E- 5) when I got out - I loved the military - I had the greatest loyal friends - often wonder how much better off I would have been staying in. I got married got pregnant got lazy got fat - woke up.
Did great - made every below the zone rank I could - was medical so made rank pretty fast- was in 4 years- great grow you ass up fast - experience.

I know and I was just an Airman ( or Airwoman , I guess ) :) - would die just the same - if I had to.

Sergeant Major? Outstanding accomplishment. My brother in law just made Chief and my sister in law is the only woman in her Navy Diver class.
How long has he been in?

Oh geez, I don't know, a long time. He's 47 now, so I think he's got 27 years in.

I left the Army as and E-5. I decided after I got back from Afghanistan that deployments weren't good for the family. I still regret it and had a hard time dealing with my unit getting deployed again without me.

bah. You sit around on the tarmac all day, with that chute cutting off the circulation to your nuts, the plane FINALLY shows up, you get on, the plane takes off, 5 minutes later you jump, 30 seconds and you're on the ground.
To hell with that. I'd rather ground pound.:D
