Really appreciate it guys. Yesterday was killer, but the weight seemed to be moving pretty well for me. I am planning on bumping to 365 for squats and 385+ on deads when I do it again on friday :eek:

Not as sore as I thought I would be today. Feeling pretty good in that department for the most part. Just really tired today since I haven't gotten much sleep the past couple of nights. Going to try and get at least 8 tonight so hopefully I will feel better. Just been having trouble falling asleep in the new bed at my apartment. Usually lay there for an hour or 2 before I can fall asleep. Starting to get kinda old.

I am meeting with my adviser tomorrow to see if I can be a research assistant in his research lab he is running dealing with genes. I have a lot of down time in b/t classes this year and I thought I could use that time to do something productive. Besides it will be fun, I will learn a lot, and it will look really good on my Med School application. I will let you guys know how it goes tomorrow. He said it was pretty full, but some guy is dropping off and it is b/t me and some other kid for the spot. I am pretty sure I will get it though ;)

Thoughts:
Killed it today. Had my buddy Johnathan lifting with me. He gave PI a try for the first time today and will be reporting back to me about how he feels tomorrow. He already said that he felt like he had more energy throughout the entire workout than he usually has. I will get his full write up tomorrow.

Idk why, but c.g bench felt amazing today. 225 felt like a feather on my first set so i decided to see how much I could get for 3 by my 5th set. See video.

Got a really good pump going today and felt really strong throughout the entire workout. I did cut 1 arm DL short today b/c my left oblique is still feeling off when I do them for some reason. Didn't want to risk aggravating anything.

365 for squats and 385+ for deads on Friday. Wish me luck!

My roommate needed an extra guy for his flag football team for intamurials so I filled in. I went to the Pike bid party around 10 after the game was over and was not planning on drinking, but I immediately got pressured into it. I decided that being in a frat is just not for me. I am not really sure why I thought I could join one and not be expected to drink. I ended up feeling a little sick after the bid party and that helped me make up my mind even further. I am never going to touch alcohol again and I think this is for the best. I am 100% committed to school and bodybuilding now. Nothing is going to stand in my way.

Appreciate the support on my decision guys. I have only drank like 3 times in my life, and have gotten sick like all 3 times no matter what I drank or how little I drank. My body just doesn't handle alcohol well.

I keep trying to tell one of my friends that is a higher up in the Pikes that I want out but he keeps telling me that I don't have to drink and they won't make me if I don't want to and just stick to my guns. He is a really good guy and he keeps telling me all the brothers really like me and will still like me whether I drink or not. But if I don't drink, it is kinda pointless to join b/c the dues help pay for the parties and I probably wouldn't go to any of the parties b/c I will be like the only one who isn't drinking and others will most likely try to get me to.

I missed my 8 am and 9 o'clock class today b/c I was paying homage to the porcelain gods during that time. My parents figured out that I didn't go and told me if I miss again b/c of partying I have to pay for school and my housing myself since they are paying for me to go to class and not to party. I really don't even want to risk missing again just to be a part of the frat. They are a bunch of really cool guys and I feel like I fit in with them for the most part (besides the drinking aspect), but I have no job and if my parents don't help me out I can't go to school. I am pretty sure they are just threats to make sure I stay on the right track, but they are right. I am there to get an education, not to party.

Also, hungover workout results to come. A lot better than i was expecting to be honest. lol

Thoughts:
First want to say that today went a lot better than i was expecting since I puked my brains out last night and my stomach was still upset. Once I got into it, everything but deads felt really light for some reason.

Squats were pretty easy today. It took me a set or two to get into the groove, but then it was lights out. I was dead afterward though and I could tell my deadlifting form was suffering so I cut them short to make sure I didn't hurt myself.

I came back home this weekend to pick up some textbooks I ordered on-line so I was back up at lifetime. The db's only go up to 110's and I was having trouble stacking other db's on top of the 110's for db rows so I just did 5x5 with the 110's.

It's a good goal although it's a difficult goal when half (or even most) of your friends drink. STRONG effing squatting. And I respect your decision. Word of the wise, DO NOT SHARE CUPS. It is ok to drink from time to time but you WILL get some cold or flu stuff from sharing cups. I don't drink that often and wheN i go out I always get sick for 1-3 weeks afterwards because of some stupid virus.

Felt pretty decent today for the most part. My legs are pretty sore from the thrashing I gave them yesterday and my stomach is still a little funny from the other night but my strength felt fine. Didn't wear shorts w/ pockets today and since my gym back home doesn't allow gym bags I couldn't bring up my phone to record with. :(

My left shoulder is pretty sore today from the lowered bar positioning on squats since I am still getting used to it.

I got a really good pump in my chest/tri/ back today and am continuing to look pretty filled out most of the day after my workout.

I decided to have an entire cheat day today since I weighed in at 195 this morning. Got kinda frustrated since I have been that weight for the past like 2 weeks so I just ate whatever I wanted today. Hopefully that will help kickstart the gainz again.

Agreed. It has been a while since I have done them, but I remember them being hard as hell b/c you can't really cheat at all. lulz. Also think I felt it a bit lower in my lats than I do when I did them from the hang position, but again it has been a while so I might be mistaken.

Thoughts:
Clean and Press felt really strong today. Everything went up really easy despite my left shoulder still kinda bugging me on the catching portion of the lift. I am pretty sure I just strained my delt b/c none of the RC cuff tests/movements produce any pain, even against resistance.

Was supposed to do regular back squat today instead of hacks, but I thought it would be a good idea to switch it up a bit and give my shoulder a break till it feels better.

I want to end up hitting at least 275x1 on C&P, 6 or 7 plates for 5x3 on hacks, and 3 plates on dips by the end of this 3 weeks. If I keep having days like today where everything feels fairly light, I think I can hit those numbers in the time period.

Sorry I got this up so late guys. Studying for this test while keeping up with my other work in my other science and regular classes has been keeping me super busy that past couple of days. The good news is that I am feeling more confident about the Chem test the more I study. Since it is the first one and I don't know how his tests are, I want to make sure that I know like everything so nothing will surprise me and I can do well on it.

Shoulder was still sore and tight and my erectors were sore on some movements. A lot better off that I thought I would be b/c I haven't power cleaned in like a year and it has been a while since I have done heavy presses too.

Just wanted to throw a quick update up before class b/c I didn't get a chance to post this up yesterday.

I am hitting up 3x5 again today on some new exercises for this program. Hopefully can get some vids of me putting up some decent weight. Think I got split squats, 1-leg DL, Push Press, and some other stuff today.

Also, got a study group sesh tomorrow for my chem test with my bud and these two girls. This one girl that is in a couple of my classes is really chill and cute. Planning on spittin some game here pretty soon :p. lulz

It's a tough balancing act sometimes to mix work, school, life & then throw in working out on top of it all. Not to sound too cliche' but "where there's a will there's a way", you just have to find time to make time.. Keep at it & just make it a personal goal to 'kill it' in the gym next time, good luck!

Thoughts:
Had my chem test this morning that I have been studying for this morning. It went alright. I knew the stuff, but he asked the questions in a strange way. I think I only missed 2-3, but he curves the test so I should be alright.

Workout went really well today. I am definitely back. My shoulder is like 99% better and wasn't giving me any problems with C&P or squats.

I felt really strong today and got through everything fairly easily. I forgot to bring my phone w/ me today so no vids. Hopefully I can get some up for tomorrow and I will def get some next week w/ 4x4.

OMFG!!!!! Amazing pump today in the gym. Idk if it was b/c I was on cheat day today and took in a ton of carbs or what, but my muscles felt like they were about to explode. It was freaking awesome!!!!!!

The fullness I brought up a week or two ago is still here. I am really loving this stuff b/c of that and the improved recovery time I am having. I kinda wish I would get the BA tingles from it, but since I am a non-responder it is not PI's fault. lulz.

BB row form has a bit too much momentum in the movement. I am not really too worried about it though b/c I really hit my lats hard with it today. I am probably going to try doing them from the floor next time to see the difference. Thoughts:
Felt really strong again today. I am loving feeling like this! Was not really expecting to feel as good as I did considering I had a 2 hr drive back to school right before I worked out, but I couldn't even tell. If I would have done this before, I would have never of made it through the workout like I did. Based off of past workouts after trips back to school or back home, I could really tell a difference in my energy levels for the better today thanks to PI that I would not have had if I was not taking it.

I am really liking the ramping of the weight that I am giving a shot this 3 week cycle of lifts. It is allowing me to go a bit heavier than I would have if I just kept a constant weight throughout the sets. Hopefully bigger weights will = increased strength which will lead to increased muscle mass.

Took me forever to get to sleep last night and felt kinda sluggish today. Strength was still there for the most part, I just seemed to tire quickly.

I want to apologize for not posting up yesterday. I was really busy and then got talked into playing a flag football game that night at 10 on my roommate's team b/c they only had 5 playing that night. Was pretty fun though, I had a pick w/ like a 50 yard return and a diving catch. Probably going to be playing again next week. I could tell I hadn't ran in a while though b/c I lost my breath fairly quickly, but I did still have my speed :).

Cals were in the 3,200 range with the usual 20,45-50, 35-40 split for macros.

I will post up today's cals as soon as I get done with my last meal.

Also, I figured out that you can eat instant oatmeal directly from the packet today. I was in a rush and just grabbed some on the way to class. It is actually pretty fricken amazing. lulz.

I am looking really full still as well. I want to get some progress pics up, but decided to just wait till the end of the log ;)

Yeah, pound for pound I don't think a human exists that is stronger than him. He just always weighed so much less than everyone else, but I think he is going to get pretty competitive as he puts some lbs. on over the next few years. He is still only what? 24 or so

Yep, he is 24. I think he is going to win it all eventually as long as he can stay healthy. He is my favorite guy right now out of all the World's Strongest Man competitors. He has been since I saw him on True Life a couple of years ago haha

Thoughts:
HIE came into town today so we both headed up to the Plex to get our workouts in. Felt pretty good today for the most part. My shoulders are still fairly tight, but doing the band work for pre-hab seemed to help them loosen up a bit. My tris are also sore, but they should be back to normal by tomorrow.

I really felt my quads today on my box squats. I kinda had to rig something up as you can see in the vids since Bodyplex doesn't have the plyo boxes that I usually use, but I was able to get a good height with me just breaking parallel.

All in all, I had a really good day both in the weight room and just in life in general. My 8 am class got canceled today and I got a chance to hang out with one of my friends from class that I haven't really hung out w/ before and help her with chem hw.

Thoughts:
Got a huge pump in my quads today from the higher rep squats, I freakin love it! I know I could have gotten more on that one set of 315 but was the only person in the free weight area at the time and didn't want to risk having to bail if I couldn't get one of the reps up. Will shoot for 15+ next Sat. when I do them again, hopefully with a spot.

Also, I have been doing pretty good with not letting my elbows come forward too much, but as you can see that kinda went out the window when I was going for my rep max with 315. I will make sure that I get that in check when I do these again.

I did feel like I got tired quicker than normal today, but that is most likely b/c I DD'ed for one of my best friends b/c it was her 21st bday and had to go picker her and her other friends up at like 2:30 this morning. So I am thinking it is just b/c my sleeping pattern got thrown off a bit.

I got one of my friends who works at Bodyplex to weigh me in on their digital scale today so it would be accurate. It weighed me in at 197 lbs, which is a 2 lbs increase since last time I weighed at 195 lbs about 3 weeks ago. I also took my bodyfat when I got home and I am at 8.78% according to the 3 point test on the website I posted at the beginning of the PI log. So the weight that I have put on since I started this log has been fairly clean since I started at like 9%.

Thoughts:
Left shoulder didn't feel right when I started warming up for my pressing movements today. Not that it felt off, but it was still bothering me and I didn't want to aggravate it more than I needed to, especially since I plan on going for a C&P PR on friday. Decided just to power clean instead and see if I could still get 275 up.

Workout was amazing today. Great pump, strength was there, and intensity was def there. Freaking amazing.

Wanted to up weight on floor flys but the next heaviest db's after 95 was 120, and I didn't want to make that big of a jump on those so I just did some extra reps. :)

Thoughts:
Sorry for the late update guys, it seems like with school that when it rains it pours lately. So Tues was an off day and I had my usual approx 3200 cals with usual macro ranges. I also played an entire 40 min flag football game that night. I played pretty well w/ 2 for 3 on catches and 2 TD's that were both like 60 yard runs after I made the completion. Since I haven't really ran much in a while, I am guessing this is why the front part of my left shin is sore today.

Wednesday was a good day. I felt really strong and my endurance was way up. I was recovering pretty fast in b/t sets and didn't feel any effects on my strength from reducing my rest periods slightly. I was not able to get vids from Wed b/c I was trying to hurry to get back to a study group for Genetics. I am actually studying for it every moment I can until the test on Friday. This is supposed to be the hardest science class offered at my college, so wish me luck :p

Also, I am getting really close to the bottom of my PI tub. I probably have a couple of more days on it until it is completely gone. Luckily, my order from bb.com came in yesterday along with my new tub of PI so I am good to go as soon as this tub runs out :D

They are custom Nike Free 7.0 that i got for a H.S. graduation present. They are the colors they are b/c that was the school colors for the place I went to play baseball at. I really like them alot b/c they have a flat sole on them and are really comfortable to me at least.

Thanks man. You should go heavy on cleans sometime man. I know for me, everything over 225 feels about the same weight wise until I hit like my 1 rep max. You guys have bumper plates at your school so it won't be that big of a deal if you don't get it up. That was the first time I had cleaned over 255 in a little over a year, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get that last rep in and drop the weight and it make a ton of noise and stuff. haha

I was really tired and kinda sore today from having such a good day on Friday. However, I was able to pull myself together and hit some more PR's. I am really happy with my 315 rep max PR I got today. I knew I had 15 in me, and I am pretty sure I can get 20 within the next 3 weeks if I play my cards right.

Got a really good pump today as usual.

Also, had to bump to 120 on DB bench b/c they only had 1 db of the other weights in b/t 95 and 120 b/c they had broken. Even the 120's were bent like crazy. I am happy that I got 1, but I could have done maybe 1 or 2 more if the handles were straight. I guess we will just have to wait and see if I am right on that when I go home for fall break in a few weeks :D

I did finish my last 2 scoops of my PI tub today so I will be posting a weigh in, measurements, and pics here in a little bit. I think I am like 2-3 workouts short on the 30 workouts, so I am going to use my new tub of PI and post the last few workouts. I figured I would go ahead and get pics and weight in b/c 2-3 days isn't going to make much of a difference and I actually have some down time right now for a change so I can do it right.

Thoughts:
Today was a decent day lifiting wise, but I could tell that my usual intensity just wasn't there. Most likely due to this being my first day off WF in a while. My strength and endurance were good like always, but I could tell there was something missing today.

I am hoping to get my final PI review up this weekend sometime when I get some time off from school. Until then, I will continue to post my workouts for you guys to keep this thing rolling. :)

haha, thanks man. Me and 5Six kinda talked about it and came up with it. We talked about it a bit on the first page.

No you are right on the entropy thing. Basically, we stretched the definition a bit to get the alliteration in the title and b/c I thought it just sounded cool haha.

If you think of a muscle at rest as being at equilibrium or "ordered" not wanting to grow, just content. And exercise creates disorder (based on the loosely defined way we are using it here) within the muscle by breaking it down which in turn would eventually cause it to grow.

So w/ PI I was expecting increased endurance/recovery time which would allow me to workout harder/longer therefore increasing "intramuscular entropy". I know there is no such thing, but we thought it sounded cool so we made that up so it sorta made sense and so I could use it as my title. lulz.

Your rear lat spread is good. Even though it's not totally widened, it looks thick there. Good lighting too :D but def can tell the hard work put into it.

Thoughts:

The only thing I would say on the form question is maybe keep it a little closer to your body the whole way up? That's just me though, I destroy my shins, knees & upper thighs when I do mine, lol... But I'm sure others can help you out more, just my thoughts...

It is Double Overhand, I don't really know how to do a hook grip so when it gets to the point where I can't hold onto it anymore I just do DO w/ straps.

Thoughts:
I think today I just headed out to the gym w/o getting enough food in me. I was meeting up with a freind later on in the day to hang out and work on some Chem HW so I went a bit earlier than I usually do and only got one meal in prior to working out. I am thinking this was the cause of me starting to feel a bit light headed and nauseous.

As you can prob tell, I cut out some exercises b/c I wasn't feeling that great. I think I did get enough in to at least stimulate each bodypart. Looking forward to next week w/ 4x4 starting. And I am looking even more forward to 2 weeks from now when I can start using WF again b/c I can tell a huge difference in my energy level and focus going into each workout w/o it.

Final Thoughts:

Purple InTrain is one of the top contenders for the intra workout supplement category. While using this product over the last 60 days, I have seen increases not only in recovery time in between workouts, but also in between sets during the workout. Along with recovery, the gains that I have made both in body composition and strength cannot be ignored. I was able to put on 4 lbs of mass in approximately 50 days while maintaining my bodyfat percentage and increasing strength. I believe that being able to recover faster and get through my workouts faster while still maintaining strength and intensity due to the Intrain played a huge role in these gains. Without this product, I am not sure that I would have been able to gain as much lean mass while maintaining my body fat percentage.

I know that most will not read this whole thing so I want to make it fairly short. Purple InTrain, for me at least, has been the best Intra workout product that I have used in terms of taste and effectiveness. Bottom line, Intrain does what it says it does and you can look at my before and after numbers to prove it. I have already purchased and started on my second tub of Intrain and plan on making apart of my staple supplements.
