I don't think I'd want to live in another country. Canada is my home and native land.
I like it here just fine. :)

I have been to both Italy and Spain during my military years. Both were really nice in places and not so nice in others (hey, just like here!). Overall, I did not like Italy much at all. I was in my young 20's and did not find the women there attractive, even a little bit (even though I always loved Italian-American women), but thought the women in Spain were gorgeous (though for the most part, I do not care much for Hispanic-American women). The whole thing was just backwards to me. Keep in mind that I was in towns that regularly had a lot of military coming through, so maybe the Italians just locked their women up when we were coming into port :).
Another thing I found odd was that, as you went through the areas with bars and such, they were all named after American things. A bar might be called "California Bar" or "Guns N Roses" bar, something along that line. There was not a whole lot in those towns that seemed authentic at all. Oh yeah, don't order pepperoni on a pizza in Italy unless you want a real surprise.
I guess it also depends on what you are looking for. Looking for hottest women? Easiest women(Manswers could help you find this)? Most culture? Scenery? I would only go to another country and live for a year if I absolutely had to. And in that case, I would pick one as much like here as I could. Either Canada or England.

I have been to 30 countries and lived in 5, USA, Costa Rica, England, Hong Kong and China.
Each country I have visited has had its pros & cons. The fun part about life and one of my passions is travel. It is awsome to get another perspective on religion, politics, food, sex, roles, culture and much more.

Other than those? Sweden. Never been there, but have friends there - incredible music scene, all those Swedish blondes, and it's rated as the number one country to live in the world by whoever does these studies.
But - I'd definitely be back un the USA after a year!

Been there! :p (02' on business) Stockholm is pretty cool. Spent 5 days there and got to see a lot of the area. Not often you can eat in a 300yr old restaurant that is in a cave and serves reindeer a a main entree
Me? Canada. Specifically, Banff area. I love NH, ME and Vermont, and Banff looks to be even more gorgeous.

I was able to travel quite a bit in the USAF so I would rule out a lot of places just from those memories. I never made it to Australia though but I'm not sure I'd like to be there for a year. I only meant to move to Dallas, Tx for a short while and that ended up being about 6.5 official years. When I worked for a worldwide bank, I volunteered for Malasia for a short tour (1 - 2 years). The women are pretty and the economy was kind to the US dollar. When my 401k took a crap this past year, I'm looking into living in Mexico for $3.41 a day. Actually, I'm okay in the USofA. Be well and breathe deep.

I've always liked the thought of living in Canada.
You get to enjoy warm weather in the summer and then enjoy the winter snow sport for the rest of the year.
I'm not sure now that I have horses how I would like to live there permanently with that long, cold winter with horses.
I could do it for a year though.
I've already moved from one country and settled in another.
Despite the cost of living being very high where I am, the weather is pretty good, I have lots of friends, I have easy access to the wonderful history that Europe has for me to discover so I have no plans to live anywhere else. :D
