Either bite the bullet and get next day/express shipping or immediately bust out the phone book and start calling around.

Also, if you plan on using Dream Tan, a couple of suggestions:

1) get the #2 formula (red), not the #1 formula (gold)
2) do not use pro tan before hand, it will dry out your skin and also make it harder for the dream tan to be properly applied and absorbed
3) search these forums for my thread on how to apply it properly...the application process will make or break the Dream Tan look. It will either look spectacular or a like a big smeary mess depending on how you apply it.

When you say before hand, you mean immediately before hand? I'm sure multiple coats with rinses in between a few days out should be fine, right?

No, I mean do not use Pro Tan at all. All you will need is Dream Tan #2, applying one full coat the morning of the show, with touchups before prejudging, and touchups before the night show. That way you can just wait and shave the night before or morning of, use the Dream Tan, and you are ready to go. You will never need that week long protocol of Pro Tan ever again and your color will be ten times better. Makes peak week a lot less stressfull too, which can ruin a physique (stress increases cortisol, which increases retention of water)!

I used 3 generous coats of protan starting on wed night, one on thurs, and one friday night without rinsing off sat morning. Then I used one coat of protan quick bronze before going on stage for prejudging and another of the quickbronze before the night show. I thought my color looked pretty decent. Pics in profile. I did have a fair base tan.

My wife helped me with the shaving part. I did use nair to get rid of most of my hair since I usually get razor burn or bump from shaving with a razor. Just don't nair the same day you try to apply any kind of protan, jan tana or anything else becuase your skin is all messed up after using the nair. I naired on tues night then on wed night i started using protan.

Your color was ok....you weren't really dark enough still (very orange) and you had a "shine" not a "sheen"...there's a huge difference. The orange tint is what you will get every time by not rinsing after every coat of protan, and you just continue to paint over the buildup and excess. Besides, why do you care to mess with all that during peak week? Dream Tan by far gives you superior color and sheen and you don't have to do anything until show morning - even shave. No messy sheets when you sleep that week, nothing. I guess I'm more of a simple, path of least resistance, guy myself.

Yes, if you can't reach (which I haven't been able to scrath my own back for years lol), then you'll need help. You should be able to reach every except back and shoulders, and parents can even help with that if you are single.

So all you use for a show is Dream Tan #2? Do you try and get any sort of base tan? I'm curious because I also think it is kind of a pain to do the whole 3-4 or more coats of protan and I dried my skin out really badly.

Tommy has said it on about 3 diff threads now. He uses dream tan no2 only.. I PM'd him about it. No base tan, No coats of pro-tan.. No nothing.. Ghost white right up till morning of the show then 2-3 coats of dream tan gets you "dark" enough.

I am definitely following his advice for my show nx wk. I spent so much time last time worrying about my tan..shaving at the right time etc!! Using just DT2 is going to take a hell of a lot of stress of this week!!

Thx's goes out to Tommy for his help and advice

I've seen some people sweat with Dream Tan and it runs a little bit. Especially in the armpit and chest area, so wouldnt having a base tan help that from looking so drastically different in color appearance? I'm using it so I've acquired a bit of a base just in case. Doesnt hurt to be prepared.

No base tan needed at all. I show up ghost white, I end up with pristine color. It really is the best, stress-free approach. You can do everything early morning of when you wake up for your first meal.

I have heard that too much dream tan can wash you out and or cover up your definition/separation or overall leaness. Is this BS? Are there any special techniques that you use to apply it?

Yes, that is BS. Whoever says crap like that is looking for an excuse as to why they weren't lean enough. Instead of taking responsibility for not showing up in pristine shape, they point the finger at anything else they can think of.

I started a thread on how to apply it...I think if you search for Sporto Dream Tan Method it should come up.
