Well, this is sort of something I have more or less swept under the rug for some time. However as of lately my curiosity has gotten the best of me and I figured I would get some opinions on the matter.

Basically, I find myself to have VERY abnormal vitals and I would like to see if there is an explanation for them. Anyways before I continue I might as well just list the data.

Resting Pulse: Usually when this is tested at the doctor it will range for 42-44 BPM, however one time when I had it tested (at the docotor's office again) it was as low as 38 BPM. Keep it mind at this time I was doing large amounts of cardiovascular training. The training consisted of MMA training as well as BJJ. Both of which are very intense forms of cardiovascular training.

Body temperature: For as long as I can remember I have had a rather low body temperature. Assuming I'm not sick my body temperature will range from 96.5 97.5 Just for the sake of curiousity I'll run up stairs and take my temperature.

Current temp: 97.4

Also, I seem to have a horrible tolerance to the cold. I also seem to feel cold non stop. When most people are sweating profusely, my hands will be ice cold.

Blood pressure: I seem to also have low blood pressure as well. It is tough for my to recall exact numbers from each time. I believe my last numbers I remember were 108/47. It seems that my diastolic seems a little on the low end.

I did get my thyroid checked not too long ago and that seemed to be okay. I believe my TSH was 1.75 which seems to fall in the normal range. From the research I have done on the thyroid tho it seems like you cannot fully rule out a potential thyroid issue by only checking TSH levels.

To be honest this isn't something that totally worries me, but I am rather curious.

It'll be cool to get some opinions!

Thanks,

-Randy

Sounds basically like low sympathetic tone.... Not necessarily related to low Thyroid or dieting. Happens in females a lot (basically their autonomic system 'rides low' - have lot bp, low HR, cold peripheries).

Could also be dieting (if you are dieting) [see the 'explain my hr and bp post ]....
Could also be low BF....
....

Would need more information to give you more information.

Interesting thought! That has crossed my mind in the past. Thanks for the input!

Ah the dieting point might be play a role. I believe the time I was 38 BPM I was cutting down for a BJJ competition. That being said it was a period of restricted dieting for me.

If there is any other usuful information that would spark conversation, let me know.
