It has been just over 3 weeks now and I am still not showing any improvement, so I can safely say that I royally screwed my arm up. :/
Lifting anything to shoulder height is pretty damn painful, but not so bad that it has stopped me from working out. I have taken out the worst exercises from my routine (mostly shoulder work and of course bicep curls of any kind hurts like a bitch, but when I have the weight above my head I am fine.) Working out chest is fine (but getting the dumbells into position hurts like a bitch) as is triceps. Pull-ups are pretty painful but have been able to work through the pain, while chin-ups place too much focus on that area in my forearm and I have had to drop them, too.
Even making my fist into a ball shoots a sharp pain into my upper forearm, just below the joint. I know that I have torn something, but my question is: Has anyone ever torn some ligament/tendon in this part of their body before, and what what the time frame for recovery. 3 weeks and 0 improvement is kinda sucky.
I am going to the doctors on Friday, but the doctors in Japan don't help much as they get all pissy with my for not speaking the language very well. I have never had any real help in Japan for any injury in the past, which is why it has taken 3 weeks to go to the doc. for this problem.
Any advice on time-frame, and or advice on how to help it heal faster would be appreciated. I was thinking of completely resting it for a few weeks, but probably many can relate that it is never nice to have an injury that completely prevents you from working out.
