Has anyone ever gotten an upset stomach from eating banana's on an empty stomach? Sometimes I do. Both my mom and my grandma would get really sick from eating bananas. What could be the cause of this?

Not sure why. I get terrible stomach aches from them aswell. I have found though that if i eat them when they are very ripe it doesn't happen.

My mom and I both have the same problem, although it happens whether our tummies are full or not. Ripe bananas are less likely to affect me. Eating one once in awhile it ok. Daily consumption adds up and I get the tummy ache. Dunno what mechanism is causing it. Watermelon does the same thing. I just make sure to space out how often I eat them.
