Why were the first 2 bad lifts?

One ref called me for my foot coming up (try and spot that one) and the head ref called me for bringing the bar below the sternum (yeah right). Pretty disappointing when you lift the weight reasonably easily, would have loved to get 200kg+ on the bar, I was feeling pretty good.

Lame judging :(

Nice bench though!

Beastly.

Bad judging, you'd get that 200 easily.

Who's that head spotter? He looks like he could bench more than you.

Yeah he is strong, I think his best is 192.5kg in the 100kg class. Benches narrow grip, real strong tri's. That real big guy in the black eastside shirt you see clapping on the third lift is also a strong guy. Deadlifts 295kg and benches about 140kg, at 19 year old, he has a big future in peowerlifting or bodybuilding.

Nice lifts too bad about the judging.
One thing I saw on the third lift was the spotter, on the right side in the video, his hands touched the bar when you started down. I'm surprised it didn't affect your lift and you are lucky it didn't. Did you know that he touched it? Also isn't it a bad lift if the spotters touch it at any time?

Had a good look, might be a small touch hard to tell and didn't notice anything at the time.

You can get red lighted if it is touched by a spotter but I think it is only if it assists you in the lift. Would suck to miss because a spotter touches the bar already enough rules to contend with
