I actually felt like crap today. Taking the rest of the week off, I'm just mentally beat up from going hard for 12 weeks straight, planning and executing a 10 week experiment, and also with my business going better than ever... I actually have a waiting list for clients now so I need a short break to recharge mentally. It was really hard to get focussed for this but I got it done

Next week I'm going to test out my 1 rep max and then deload for 2 weeks til my next meet

Congratulations man. I haven't seen any of your other lifts but regardless, that's very impressive!

LOL at the guy in the background and "Vacation" in the background.

Hey Layne, I know you are worried about getting bicep tears, but don't you think jerking off the floor could lead to one?

Very impressive!

a few people have brought this up; I would think using the double overhand grip would reduce this probability, but I will definintely make an adjustment in my form

honestly I was so ****ing out of it and felt like **** tonight I just had to muscle it out. I had very little in the gas tank

Yeah the straps and the DO Grip will definately reduce your chances of a bicep tear, you just don't want to get in that habit of jerking the weight especially in competition when your working with 100%+

Awesome lift man, I've learned alot from your posts both bodybuilding and powerlifting and the science that you bring to the table, keep it up!

That could have been an epic face plant with that barbell behind you, nicely navigated. Lift was good too!
