One of the things I'm currently struggling with is staying natural. I see these behemoths at the gym and unfortunately know that I will never be that big without the use of steroids. How do you keep motivated knowing that there will always be someone bigger than you if you don't take that step?

First of all do not worry or obsess about your looks. Be more concerned about your overall health. Why do you have to be "bigger" than everyone else? That sounds like a self esteem thing to me. .Are there issues there that your dealing with? If your main motivation is to be bigger then everyone you will not be able to maintain your motivation because it is not a realistic goal. Focus on how you feel healthwise and how you have changed in your own appearance. If you want to be the biggest, work on havinig the biggest heart.

really imo size doesnt matter unless your competing. I find its more about functionality then anything.

You can stay natural and look good. You can stay natural and compete in natural contests. You can stay natural and impress your friends and family. You can stay natural and develop an impressive body.

If you will be risking health effects only for the vanity of being "even bigger" than some guy at your gym, then I don't think you'll be satisfied with that for long. For 99.999% of all people, there is ALWAYS going to be someone bigger, no matter what means you use. Therefore, deciding to use steroids because there is someone at the gym bigger that you will not make you any happier. Because then someone ELSE will simply be bigger. That is a never ending road.

Not that you'd necessarily suffer any long term effects from steroids (lots of people do it and don't seem to be dying in droves), but let's say just for the sake of argument that you got unlucky and did. Would you then look back and say that it was worth it? Did it bring you any financial gain (Mr. Olympia title or whatever)? Did it significantly improve your quality of life? Were you able to lift a car off of a dying public servant? Was it necessary to achieve your life goals? Or was it just an impulsive thing you did and now regret?

I have thought about this and for me, I reasoned that just "being bigger" for no real practical reason other than bragging rights or my own vanity wan't worth it. Instead I'll just bust my ass in the gym, be the biggest and best I can be, and not worry about what everyone else is doing.

We all take risks in life, and only you can decide whether the potential rewards (for you) are worth the risks.

Remember this, those guys who are on prohormones and steriods look great on the outside, but on the inside they are a timebomb waiting to go off. I understand where your coming from though, seeing all these gym guys taking this stuff and getting big pisses me off when i have to work my ass off to even get 1/2 their results. BUT i know i wont have to worry about a heart attack 20 years ahead.
