sport vs weight training

Do you guys still play football during the off-season? I see many of you doing WS4SB, how do you get in tip top condition doing that all summer? It's just mostly weightlifting and pylo's. I'm not dissing the program I know people have made great gains in strength and speed.

Who do you think would be the better conditioned/skilled/stronger football player?

Athlete who follows WS4SB3 and plays the sport once or twice a week

Athlete who plays the sport 4-5 times a week and only weight trains about 2-3 days a week.

When the season starts who would be in better shape? Now maybe I am wrong do you still continue playing your sport when your using WS4SB3.

I'm asking this because my strength has hit a wall, and why continue to waste time on weights when I can be getting better at the sport.

i wouldnt say it means Sh*t.. Being strong and explosive comes from lifting weights which will benefit you in your sport, but someone who plays the sport is obviously going to have more experience and know techniques involved in the game. Doing both is the best imo
