That's 25 lbs of progress since my meet, less than 7 weeks ago.

Good pulls! You slowed down a bit right at the end, but you kept pulling and never stopped. Very good job. I've seen quite a few people start ramping and hitching once they get towards the top.

That was sick. Awesome job. I remember seeing in your log that you have you been using the 5/3/1, but have you been using it for your deads as well?

I'm new to deadlifting (only done it three times), so I have a question regarding your form.
Your back seems slightly rounded to me. I was always told that it's important to keep your back flat. Since you are 2.5x stronger than me and obviously have never been too badly hurt using your form, I take it I have the form wrong. Could you give some clarification on how much back arch is ok? Is it caus ur wearing the belt that you don't have to worry about lower back rounding?

If you look carefully, you will see that his lower back is not rounded, only his upper back, which is OK. Rounding the upper back allows one to stay slightly more upright when grabbing the bar, but it makes the lockout a bit harder.
It would be pretty hard to arch your back with 600+ lbs... :)
By the way, good job CJ!

Awesome deadlift dude. A 25 lb increase from a meet pull in that short of time-frame is amazing progress!
How often do you max out on deads anyway?

If you drive your hips forward when the bar passes your knees you'll lock out stronger. You came real close to ramping the second pull.
Good pulls though.
