Just started going to practices, I never played football in my life. I've played it for fun, but never w/pads, etc- etc-. I don't know much of the positions, what is someone of my size a perfect position for?
I'm pretty fast, pretty strong, etc-
Thanks

do you have a guess on your speed? like 40 time or 100m time? but if you're fast and with your size, RB or FB? maybe a LB, SS.

It's been awhile since I played...how tall/heavy/fast are you compared to others your age?
I was always super tall (stopped growing vertically at 6'5" at 16), so I excelled at wide receiver/tight end/cornerback. I'm guessing you are average for your age, so i would recommend linebacker if youre fast and strong, halfback if you're fast and 'quick', tight end if you have good hands and can block well, maybe a cornerback/safety if you're fast/quick/and have good acceleration.
To be honest, if you're school district has any type of competitive organizational ability, you're not going to get a lot of playing time, as most starters will have been in organized athletics for quite awhile. But dont let that discourage you, just give 110% and you'll get better quick. Go all out whenever you have the chance, football is the best sport ever.
Oh, almost forgot...kicker/punter if you can kick!
