hello everyone...thanks for taking the time to read this.
I'm currently underweight, barely. I'm 5' 9" and about 134. My prob is that I feel I don't look underweight...especially in my legs and buttocks (runs in the family). I feel very uncomfortable in a swimsuit, and with this being my goal I've really been trying to lose the fat. After my first baby I was 17% fat, after the second and BFeeding for 15 months I'm 31%...OUCH!
I started on the Bowflex 2 months ago and am pretty consistent with my strengh training. I do legs 3x's/week and arms and abs 3x's/week. I have put off cardio due to an ankle injury. Now I feel my ankle is ready for the different range of motions involved in cardio.
I was thinking of doing cardio 5x's/week M-Fri for at least 30 minutes each after my strength training. I have changed my diet drastically since starting on the Bowflex by eating frequent (5x's day) small, healthy meals. Plus I drink a lot of water.
Should I be ready for a swimsuit in 3-4 months following this type of schedule? Even shorts would be nice (I really hate my legs).
Any suggestions or comments or answers regarding my regime would be greatly appreciated. I love information about fitness.
Thanks again!

I will give my 2 cents.

You will be ready for a swimsuit in 4 months with that if you aren't dead. That is one heck of a schedule.

I think that doing cardio after weight training is excellent. Supposedly you have used up the glycogen so your body burns fat.

Eating 5-6 small clean meals a day is excellent.

My opinion on the weights would be to work one body part a week and work them hard. I know that women want to work their legs, thighs, and butt the most and do not want to bulk. It is a total fallacy that women will bulk up. I would say do a chest and tricep day, back and bicep day, shoulder day, and a leg day and work abs into shoulder day and one other day.

I have been told that I am in awsome shape, not trying to brag, but I am sure you are wondering who is this guy.

By the way how do you like the bowflex. I have wondered how it is compared to free weights.
