Do women need to do this? If so, what should they use?

Post cycle recovery referrs to the peroid when you come off of steroids and you have to take ancilliers to keep your hormonal levels from going out of whack and to maintain your gains.
Not sure what you meant in the context of your question.

I was asking in general for post AAS as well as PH
but specifically, a friend of mine is using 1,4 andro at 200mg/ed. She wants to up her dosage to 300mg/ed and would like to stay on for 12 straight weeks. I told her it might not be the best idea and so I'm looking into it for her...and this was one of the things that I thought would be a pertinent issue.

Andro is serious stuff. She should keep her dosage minimum to prevent side effects.

Females should probably not be using prohormones. Most men use 1,4andro @ 600mg a day and up, so thats a low dosage and she probably won't see many results.
All post cycle drugs are used to lower estrogen and raise testosterone levels. A product that does this would be 6oxo by Ergopharm.
Since the endocrine system in women is very different in men, however, I'm not sure that she would want to take something like this.

Well, I think her using 1,4 andro is better than Anavar, which is what she really wanted to use.
Her gains at 200mg/ed have been very good actually. She's already bumped up to 300mg/ed and is planning on staying on for 12 continuous weeks.
I don't think she's going to use any post cycle recovery, since I can't find any information regarding it. Thanks anyway.

Regardless, I don't think your friend should be using any hormones at all. But here are some threads about it:

PS - 12 weeks is a very long cycle. I would cut it down to 8 to avoid sides.
