I'm trying to learn how to use a 3 point sling. I feel like an idiot because I just can't seem to figure the damned thing out. I nearly choked myself one and the rest Ijust feel awkward. Are there any good sites, books or vids that teach the use of a 3 point sling?

I don't like them, too much **** going on. I'll take a single or 2 point. I'm thinking about getting a bunch of single point adapters for all of my guns and then I'll just need one sling, clip and go. I'll save that idea for another thread.

i dont know much about all the different kinds but mine came with a detailed instruction guide on how to attach it. basically you have a sling going along the side of the rifle which operates as a sliding attach point for a basic 2 point sling. as far as i know, the only real advantages it has over a two point is allowing you to shoulder the gun on your off side without having to take off the sling, and keeps your sling the correct length regardless of which position your stock is in. imo its not worth the extra complexity and trouble and i went with a two point and used the extra piece for a shotgun.

This one is made by Eagle Industries and only came with a basic pamphlet about how to attach it. Even the pictures aren't that great. There is one buckle that was left over and I'm trying to figure out where it goes. Spare parts don't give me confidence. Even when I bought a Blackhawk sling, the instruction guide was only how to attach it.
I only tried the cross body 3 point sling because I saw it used in a way that impressed me. I saw former SEAL Chris Caracci use it in a quick demo and it looks like something that has a lot of uses (when you know how to use the thing).
Rammer_Jammer, which company provided your instruction guide?
Creature83, I`m starting to feel the same way.
