Did my weight lifting today then hit the treadmill for 30 minutes. When I got home I noticed I had some blood in my left nasal cavity I guess you could call it, not dripping out or anything but noticed it when I looked into the mirror. This has never happened before but I usually just do 20 minutes, today was the first time I did 30 minutes.

Looked around and saw some possiblities were dry air and high BP. Guess the air is still a bit dry around here being my skin is dry still and I have to still use lotion yet which I don't in the summer. BP was a bit on the low side I had it checked two weeks ago at 64/106 or something like that, also the back right side of my throat started to get sore about 20 minutes in and stayed fairly sore til about 10 minutes after I was done.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas and if the dry air is more than likely the culprit. Never had a nose bleed before while running but never pushed myself as hard. Also noticed about 20 minutes in my nose began to get a bit runny. Guess I wont worry about it too much right now but if it keeps happening I'll give the doctor a call.

Did 30 minutes between 5.5-6.0 mph at 0% incline.

Any help or input is appreciated thanks.

Do you take allergy meds? They can cause nose bleeds as well. What is your BP at?

I can get them when the air is super dry and there is soomething in the air causing my allergies to flare up. But I dont take any allergy meds.

I am not dr but it does not sound like much to worry about.

IF the air is dry or cold it can cause the tissue in the nose to break resulting in bleeding.

It could also be from weak sperm...LOL just kidding

During cold months I run with one of the ear headband warmers around my mouth/nose to eliminate the frigid air. That may help your situation

BP last I checked was good cant imagine its too much higher than it was a few weeks back. No allergies that I'm aware of or meds. Think I'll shake it off for now and if it happens anymore I'll get a hold of the doctor.

Intraabdominal/intrathoracic blood pressure rises a lot during heavy weightlifting....

That combined with dry air can cause nose bleeds.

Or higher blood pressure from higher cardiac output.

Probably not something to worry about like you said.. happens again or two then see a doc.
