I have just done sheiko #37 and now I am doing #32, after this I will have a meet.

#32 calls for 105% of my current max for squat/bench/deadlift in the first week so what do I do at my meet?

I am hoping for a 10% increase of my lifts as my third attempts btw.

Current 1RM (tested the week before Sheiko):
Squat: 115 kg / 253 lbs
Bench: 91 kg / 200 lbs
Deadlift: 148 kg / 325 lbs

105% of 1RM
Squat: 120 kg / 264 lbs
Bench: 95 kg / 209 lbs
Deadlift: 155 kg / 341 lbs

110% of 1RM
Squat: 126.5 kg / 278 lbs
Bench: 100 kg / 220 lbs
Deadlift: 162.8 kg / 358 lbs

Some numbers are rounded.

Opener: whatever you tripled last
2nd: your old meet pr
3rd: your new gym max

this all depends on your experience.

For beginners, I generally recommend a very light opener, a PR second attempt and a third attempt properly reflecting the difficulty of the second.

For more advanced lifters (those only making small gains/meet), I recommend the 94%, 98% (of old meet PR), 101-104% approach.

Since you are considering hitting a 10% PR at your next meet, you clearly need to use the beginner approach (I still do sometimes on certain lifts). Make a big second attempt jump.

I suppose it will depend on how the weight of 105% feels in a couple days.

I was thinking of running 32 when I am finished with 37 and saw this in the second day of the first week. Man that looks like it would be almost impossible to hit 105% if you just set your maxes for this program.

Yeah that was the case for bench press and deadlift, although I got an easy 10kg on squat mainly due to to improved technique I'd say.

I'll add vids tomorrow.

I just ran 29, 39 then 32. No. 32 is contest prep it tapers off at the end with 4 days off for the contest.

Soaringswine said the 105% is just code for testing your max before the meet.

Alright, I was not able to upload on youtube (some sort of unknown error) so I'll just link my blog:

Also I strained a muscle in my left shoulder, I hope it heals in the next few days.
