Hey ladies I am just wondering, when you use fit day or another nutrition logging site do you enter all your foods as custom or do you use theirs, for things like oats that are packaged. Do you find that their generic has the same nutrition breakdown? Just curious. Thanks

I've used fitday for about 6yrs off and on. There is the option of buying it for your computer and more gagets to work with, but I've found the free version to work just as well since I'm on several computers through the day. I don't keep track every single day, but over time I've added my own foods so I have another database besides what they already have. Hope that helps

I compare what the package says to what their's says. If it's pretty close I use theirs, but if there's a real difference then I add it as custom. I kind of like having everything in custom because I can just go to that page, check everything I want and add it all at once, instead of searching.

I do the same.

I used to use fitday and found it pretty good, but recently switched to "mydailyplate" and in terms of choosing foods, especially specific brands it's excellent! Sofar I haven't had to customize one food and it's a US site and I live in Aus but have still found all the brands on there. All their tools are also free :)

once you make a custom it saves the info if you didnt notice....

so once you go thru the hassle of typing in all the information, you can always go right back to it

I custumize my foods whenever possible...Cals and macros vary from brand to brand.
