I've been wondering this for years, people have been saying to do light weight, along with high reps. But is this the correct way?

its a myth

high reps hits the slow twitch fibers better and heavy weights hit the fast twitch fibers better

and to look defined you got to train both of em and also lose maximum fats

I don't care what you are doing in the gym, if your eating habits don't change then the definition in your muscles will not be as impressive as you would like. You need to get rid of the fat so the muscle will show. I hate those info commercials that say " I have a six pack now that i used this or that machine" Not true The key is DIET everyone has the six-pack but you can't see it if you don't get rid of the fat period.......
