After finding this site and reading through many hours of threads and articles, my husband and I both have realized that everything we know as "heathly eating" was wrong.
I have now figured out my macros and calories. Purged the kitchen and Im ready for a new life style. My only problem is that Im having a hard time eating as much , or I guess getting in as many calories as I need per day. I believe that it is mostly me needing to break bad habits of not eating enough. Though a lot of the time I just feel too full to eat anymore.

Has anyone else had this problem when starting new??

Nice work on the diet renovation!

'Clean' food does tend to be a lot more filling at first, though you generally get used to it once it become your norm. I suggest making your meals more calorie dense (easily done by adding fat- oils for salad dressing, snacking on nuts, nut butters as toppings, whole eggs rather than just whites etc.). You could also try to get some of the calories in liquid form, by blending them into a shake (e.g. protein powder, oats, banana and PB).

Good luck with your lifestyle change ;)

Yes! It took me months to work up to eating 2000 calories. Just gradually increase every other week or so. CharlieC had some good ideas. Good luck!

Im used to eating 'Light' salad dressings. Do you think to get in more fats I should eat more regular dressings. Im also allergic to eggs. Ive found a brand of egg substitute that Im loving right now.
My husband and I have both been having protien smoothies. And we LOVE them!! Im not much of a fan of peanut butter but I will have to try it again. It would be a great way to get in those extra calories!!
Thank you!

Like Mindi said--the regular dressings are loaded with sodium, hydrogenated oils and who knows what else. Try making your own with olive oil and vinegar (white, balsamic, etc.)

And like somebody else said, try the almond butter, its great. Avocado's are also a good source of fat.

nut butters def help with fat increase. i naturally eat very low fat foods. i just always preferred them. I find it hard to cap 1000 calories most of the time. adding nut butters has helped me, but it can be hard to portion control.....soooo tasty!
