I like the rules too. Offers more opportunity to punish.

It did provide the lulz, but some stuff was awkward, like the crowd's reactions.

More MMA shows the better. I'll admit it does seem a bit cheezy and staged but it was still entertaining and that's all that matters.

The way they structured the fights is brilliant. I don't see them finding any bullys who can submit a pro fighter, but some of them might be dangerous on the feet just due to size and power.
So what do they do? Let them grapple for three minutes, choke them a lot, and gas them out. THEN let them stand up. That bully dude was so tired that the fighter was letting him hit him in the face and laughing about it.

Bonello is 16-1...he's only fought once since the end of '07, so he's probably not in prime shape.

im pretty sure there will only be 1season of this show... only mma fans would even like the show, it doesnt draw in ppl who arent familar with mma, the show is badly produced and rushed in every sense of the word, most importantly it seems fake as hell... the guy said his brother knocked him out in the hallway and he told his parents and his parents just laughed, how stupid is that? ehh...

Nicely put. I thought it was also a great system that lets the bully get embarrassed but not really anything too dangerous(GnP). I listened to Mayhem miller on TLOS and he said some bullies actually did pretty good, I can't wait to see those episodes but hey first episode of something new I hope they pick up some different changes along the way and last a full season.

I really like the show, as a guy who developed late I was always small and got picked on a lot from ages 8-15, it's going to be great to see some of these guys get their comeuppance (though it seems they are going after guys who a bit meaner than what I used to run into). I am a huge fan of the show - I hope it cleans up a bit and has a decent run.
Edit: also, it looks as though the casting is appealing to the bullies rather than the victims... WTF?

well its both i mean ya the bully can get money but they get there ass kicked one way or another and i doubt many can stay in the ring during the standup round so 5k pretty much going to the victim and aint none of the bullies gonna withstand submissions for 3mins so i think no matter what the victim getting paid i mean bully got 2k and victim got paid 8k and the bully got the **** kicked out of him.

I liked it, I mean what did you expect? Anything produced by MTV has to have some level of corniness to it but it wasn't bad. I agree that the fighting format is pretty funny.

im not a particularly violent person, but i, like many of the people i know, would never turn down a fight if offered on a level playing field.
something in the water.
that said, one of the guys from the gym said something along the lines of "how can you be champion of anywhere, unless youre willing to be the first person to stick your hand up if someone offers you a fight?"
stuck with me, that did.
