Hi all :)

I am really a newbie to lifting. In the past year I have dropped 80 lbs with the introduction of cardio activity and the help of Xenadrine. I am also beginning to lift weights. I am now 5'10, 175 with a large frame. I was also blessed(?) with elevated levels of testosterone which help me bulk very easily. I now want to take advantage of that and incorporate lifting into my routine to get defined. My questions:

1) Can I still do my 40 min of cardio 5 times per week (after my lifting)?

2) Should I be lifting 3x per week doing a chest, shoulders, tri/ back and bi/ and legs split? 5 sets 15 reps

3) What should i do about my abs?

4) Do I need creatine, glutamine or any of that stuff?

If you're bulking to put on muscle mass, this can have a negative effect. Not that doing cardio isn't good for you, it simply burns off calories that you want to use to add mass. I would cut it down to 3 times a week @ 20 minutes.

That sounds like a good routine. Check out the training forum for more advice. It depends on your body type and what has worked for you in the past (if you've ever lifted weights). Some people respond better to higher reps with lower weights, and some people respond better to heavier weights and less reps. 3 times a week is a good number though.

Crunches are good. Just add these sets in at the end of your workouts. There are tons of ab excercises out there, pick one you like.

Creatine is a good choice, but don't waste your money on glutamine. A good MRP can also help you fit in calories and protein when you can't eat.
Check into some creapure creatine mixed with some dextrose or creatine powder (make it yourself) and a protein shake that tastes good to you and is a good blend of different proteins, check the supplements forum for more info.

Good luck!
