I'm shopping for a straight bar for benching, squats and dead lifts. What length bar should I be going for? the 5 foot or the 7foot?

I don't think I need anything more than a 700lbs capacity as I'm trying to keep my budget as low as possible and I won't be putting that much weight up ever.

I was looking at this bar, if a 7 footer is what I need.

What weight set do you have? what size hole?

Yes, but they do have combos with weight. And don't get a 5' bar.

Ok I would go to the Local sporting goods store and get a set for about $150.00 that way you will have more weight and an Ok bar. If you have a little more patience than that I would get another set on CL. It's far more unusual to find weights without bars than with.
