Holy hell! Strong pull.
How long did it take you to get to 198, and what weight did you start at?
i've been weighing about 212 in the morning in the weeks leading up to the meet before I cut with my weight during the day being at 217. Dropped it in 24hrs.
It was particually challenging as i was setting up and running this meet as well so I was moving nonstop for 2-3 days with little/no sleep. doing the cut and recomp was an added layer that made it that much harder...in fact i never did rehydrate right and never had time to eat anything besides a cup of cold oats the morning of the meet.
I can't explain how physcially and mentally fatigued i was by the end of yesterday.....
But that all went away when i made that 800 pull.

don't know. I believe its a titan boss?? All my gear for the meet was borrowed as I've leaned out 30lbs over the last year and none of my gear has fit and everytime I get new gear it doesnt fit in a few weeks. I was cutting weight to make 242 this time a year ago.

Kabuki, 1st off, UNREAL POWER !, Second, I am looking to compete in the 181 lb raw class on June 13th in Barre,VT. Currently I am weighing in around 171 dieting for BB shows. My strength has increased with my weight loss. I am just wondering if I should stay lean and compete at 165 instead. I can probably make that weight after drying out completely. But I would be at 3%bf. Is that safe to pull 600+ lbs? I just pulled 500x6 at 173, and did above the knee racks 700x2 @ 171.8 lbs last week. I think I should be able to pull 600+ now. My PR was 565 @190, but that was when I was only pulling 500x3. I could set the raw 181 records of 100%raw,AAU,and AAPF with a 605 pull. Not sure if its worth killing myself to get to 165, or be able to carb and build back up to 181, which should give me even more strength. Here's a vid of 500x5 a few weeks back.

supplements don't create a pull like this...
It is all part of what makes it happen. Training, Dedication, Diet, Supplementation...it doesn't happen with anything that is missing.
I know the general consensus on USP Labs on this forum. But I could care less about the bandwagon everyone wants to jump on. I know it works for me and USP Labs has been a great part in helping me change my body composition by dropping 40lbs of fat and retaining/growing my strength levels.
But fully agreed, that taking supplements won't get you an 4X BW pull...a lot goes into that.
Inspiring, and a massive achievement. Sumo style baby.

You're natural and have never juiced? Wow....just wow. Do you think that anyone who puts the time into powerlifting and stays disciplined can deadlift 800 as a 198'er?
I seriously thought that you had to be gifted to deadlift 800+ pounds as a 198'er, juiced or not...

oh its definitely a part, but statements like the one I responded to in my eyes cheapen your effort, as if its the supplementation that creates the pull as opposed to your training, dedication, and diet...
supplements help, after all that's what they do, supplement your diet and sometimes can help with your dedication and training.
great pull and keep lifting big dude.

You're natural and have never juiced?
no, I ran a couple cycles of the prohormones several years back. but honestly never had any sustainable results other than a strength bump for the couple weeks I was on them.
Do you think that anyone who puts the time into powerlifting and stays disciplined can deadlift 800 as a 198'er?
I don't want to mislead you, so NO. It takes a certain amount of genetic ability on both a muscular and neuromsucular level, body mechanics, and technique that very few will be able to provide to coach.
Is it possible...it certainly is, as I have done it along with a handfull of others. Can anyone do it...certainly not.
oh its definitely a part, but statements like the one I responded to in my eyes cheapen your effort, as if its the supplementation that creates the pull as opposed to your training, dedication, and diet...

great pull and keep lifting big dude.
I fully understand what your point was. I just wanted to be clear that it is still certainly part of the puzzle...and if any piece is missing it is not complete. Did they make the lift...NO...would I have been able to stay strong while getting lean enough for 4X pull...NO

don't know. I used to pull raw when i did conventional and I was around 700lbs but I've focused on sumo this last 1.5 years and always wear my breifs so as not to fatigue out my hips from wide stance sqautting and pulling every week.
I've pulled 660x12 with just my briefs on. There is a video of that floating around somewhere.

i don't think it matters man...most people using gear never come close to pulling at this level.
However I am drug free athlete and that is why I compete in the AAPF version of the APF which is drug tested division.
I also hold the drug tested APA world records in the 242lb class before i cut weight.
I did use some prohormones back around 2005, but didn't like the ups and downs with little effect on long term strength. back then i was pulling in the low 600's.

I have already posted on this thread, and once again awesome lift man.
I have two questions, I am still new to strength training, and am probably never going to get into using suits, but I was thinking about briefs since I lift alone and have started using sumo myself. First are they easy to put on, and second how long do you keep them on during lifting, the whole time or do they start to cut off to much circulation? Thanks in advance, and once again massive pull!!!

I have to say that's an aweful complement. At least I think so. An 800 pull in any weight class in any fed is a great pull. He did it in the freaking 198 pound weight class. That alone makes it a monstrous pull.

Ron Collins holds the british record on the 198lb class with just over 770lb since 1980. That record was tested and proven to have been done off the juice.
Mate, i'm totally against using roids, any record held on it doesn't get my respect... But that's just me! If the geezer done off it, then... damn, he's strong!

turning 32 tomorrow...so still a young pup.
don't know why you keep bringing up roids. I don't use them and make a point of lifting in drug tested organizations. Used some PH's about 4 years ago when they were legal and at GNC, but didn't do anything long term for me.

How long have you been lifting?
don't know how to answer this.
athletics have always been a part of my life. Splitting wood and hauling rock up mountisides as a kid. Jump squats and millions of pushups in Junior High. Then lifted on and off in High school and college. but hit it hard when I did. My only real break was for about 3 years in college.

Thanks in advance, and once again massive pull!!!
my briefs go on as quick as a pair of shorts. no cutting of circulation at all.
When at my own training center i put them on for the last couple sets. when doing work at a comercial fitness center i just toss them on before going out of the locker room so i don't have to go back in and put them on.

Thanks for the reply man, thats just what I was looking for. Something I can do myself in the locker, and a little help when going heavy.

Like i said before, respect where it's due, that was one hell of a lift!
btw, definition for a geezer:
In the U.K.: A guy, a bloke, a person in general. The British equivalent of the American slang word "dude".
In the U.S.: An old man, particularly one who is either cranky or eccentric. Rather derogatory term.
sorry if i called you a geezer... lol

Great lift man.. I also saw this from the link to the site you posted. Youre a beast.
He added an 810 pound squat and 562 pound bench press to total 2,172 pounds
