I have seen them around this forum, but does anyone know where I can buy a plate for my smithmachine so that I can use it as a leg press.
Thanks.

Just a note; if you're going to try this, make sure you have the safety stops set correctly. The guy in this vid doesn't, and is asking for a nasty accident.

Imagine if your foot slipped and you dropped that. Until it hit the bottom stops I'd be crapping my pants!
Still if I ever the room to get a smith I dont need a vertical leg press anymore.. Nice.

I don't think you've seen them around this forum, because they don't really exist. The only one I know of is the one that comes with the IronMaster 2000 Self-spotting system.
Otherwise, just use your feet on the bar. If you start in the up position you can roll it out of the catches with your feet and roll it back in with your feet when you're done. Or you can start just above "in the hole" with the bar out of the catches, resting on the safeties, push up the bar, then lower the safeties down to the lowest position of the movement.
I've never been killed by my foot slipping off the bar. Hopefully you won't either.
