I'm not sure how often I'm going to update this; I think I might use it more as a journal to track my progress.

Background:
Two and a half years of (an aggressive ground-based form) traditional jiu-jitsu.
I've been doing BJJ/MMA training since May 2008.
I lift three or four times a week, plus conditioning exercises done at my apartment.

Last night was a gi class. We drilled taking the back on a turtled opponent. Then we worked pulling half guard from a standing position. The goal was to get very deep with the half guard and finish by either coming out to the back or ending up with a single-leg type finish. I kinda enjoy working a more aggressive traditional half guard. Usually I go for the lockdown and will attempt either the old school or plan-b, so this gives me a few more options.

I think I rolled four times last night, class was just too crowded. I find that I'm hanging in for much longer with the blue belts before getting tapped. My instructor recently told me that he sees a promotion for me at some point this year.

Last night I lifted for about an hour. I did shoulders, traps, and abs.

I went to the no-gi class this morning. We worked drilling escapes from mount, triangle, and the armbar. Also worked guard passing.

The weather is really nice here, so I might go for a run. Perhaps I will lift this evening as well.

Last night I lifted for an hour. I did lats, biceps, traps, and abs.

I went to the no-gi class last night as well. Got to class a little late. By the time I got there all we did was work on triangle escapes then rolled.
