I'm not sure if such a suggestion has been put forward before... however, here it is:

Our BB.com store accounts should be tied to our forum accounts. The linking would simply consist of a special icon that is displayed under the avatar. It could say something like "Verified", or something along those lines. To obtain this verification, the user simply has to make a single purchase on BB.com.

This in my opinion would greatly help differentiate actual users from trolls. Simply because, at one point or another, any serious poster on this board has more then likely purchased something from here.

Hey... and if they haven't, more $$$ for the site, as it will encourage users to at least try the BB.com store experience once.

The major flaw in this is that it equates to a 'membership fee'...
Tho I HAVE purchased thru BB.com I would likely not have except to satisfy the requirement of the contest I entered... I can (usually) get what I need locally w/o any shipping charges/delays and at reasonable prices...

Of course, an ACTUAL membership fee (thru online/auto pay methods) would not necessarily be a bad thing.... but prohibitive to those who truly benefit from the site but may not be in a position to pay for it (thru such means)...
