i'm sittin at 205 right now and want to do a practice run on dropping weight for a fight. i want to fight at 185, so i gotta drop 20 pounds of water weight...

i have read plenty on dropping water weight, but still have some issues like 1) how do i replenish everything ASAP so i feel 100% and ready to kick ass? and 2) i can't really find anything on how to eat prior to weigh ins

i realize there are plenty of articles/info on cutting for a BBing show, but this is obviously different. i need to be strong and not fatigued from dropping the weight. any help would be greatly appreciated!

ps - i'm pretty lean as it is, so dropping fat is not really a concern here!

if you are cutting 20 lbs of mostly water, you are going to be fatigued from it. sorry there's just no 2 ways around it. The question is, will the advantage you gain from cutting the weight in strength outweigh the disadvantage of losing some of your cardio?

20 lbs of water weight is really pretty crazy. If you want to fight at that weight, diet slow and cut most of it in fat. You may be lean, but youre not THAT lean.....theres always room to cut more fat (unless youre Layne ^ 1 week out from a show).
