Hey guys. I plan on going out for tight end this year and was wondering if you guys have any tips or anything for the position or training(conditioning, blocking,ETC.) I played two years ago at the same spot.

learn how to block well. go to as many linemen camps as possible. up you're weight and strength. but also, keep in mind that you do need good hands and you're reliable since you won't get the ball as much.. so play catch after your workouts

i already know all of the blocks on every play. I played in middle school in the same offense. I can catch pretty decent and am going to focus on getting ready for spring. I dont really have to worry about the route running and things like that because our offense runs the ball alot. But that doesnt really bother me i like blocking which it may sound weird.

knowing the blocking scheme and knowing HOW TO BLOCK are 2 very different things.

going back to last year most of my coaches considered me one of the best blocking TEs on the team out of the 4-5 guys that also played TE. most of the people that ive talked to think i may be able to start.
