Out for three months due to transportation issues. Back in the gym tomorrow for some serious GnP.
Will post my training at the gym as well as at home starting tomorrow!
Goals
Gain strength and mass (stepping up weight class)
Improve cardio
Regain my BJJ and MMA skill

Yeah. I just feel small at 185 lol and if i cut down to 170 i'll be too skinny.

I'm going to the U of L and I'm looking to start muay thai/kickboxing would you recommend the gym you train at for a beginner?

Hey buddy
The gym i go to (Canadian Martial Arts Centre) is a really good gym for MMA and BJJ but not as good for Muay Thai. If you are looking at just competing/training in only Muay Thai i would recommend PFA

First day back: (BJJ)
Felt i did really good. Didn't gas like i thought i would and pulled of a bunch of submissions. We went over this sweet Guillotine submission and then transitioned to a sweep from there to mount. At the end of class the instructor showed us the exorcist which is similar to Eddie Bravo's twister.

Have you ever done twister brah? It's not really that similar.. You don't have the grapevine or the baseball bat control.
Still, a good option to have from back.

I'll be honest i haven't worked the twister before. Someone told me in cclass it wasa similar though lulz

Cool man, I wasn't trying to be an ass or anything if it came out that way.
Have you drilled much five finger guillotine stuff?

Feb 23rd: MMA Class
Did really well on the first two rolls but then started to slip. I was starting to gas towards the end and my buddy landed a bunch of decent shots on me. After that i rolled with this guy that has only being going for 4 months. I was doing pretty well right untill i heard the 30 sec noise on the buzzer and he caught me with a rnc with 5 seconds left. After he got it he told me i didn't like to tap and then he started to gloat a bit.
Doing Rippetoes right now. Will post lifts later.

Don't worry about the rubix cube unless you already have a great RG game.
Five Finger guillotines will perfect your guillotine game. People will be twice as scared when you can finish them one handed.

Monday Feb 24th:
We drilled out this Guillotine choke and then did a sweep from there. I did really good today with the rolling. I managed to secure two traingles and an armbar from guard. At the end i rolled with one of the pro fighters and he said my hip movement and spinning armbars were good.
* Starting tomorrow i'm going to start posting my diet and training in the gym.

Had double wrist control, pushed his arm against his stomach and threw the leg over. When i have it on i'll grab under the leg and turn to the side to make it more secure.

Feb 26: BJJ Class
Tonight was intersting. We went over a kneebar submission and two rear naked varations. When i rolled i had gone with more experienced BJJ guys and had trouble working in their guard. My flow was good tonight but my attacking game was terrible. I was given advice by a pro, and he said i'm getting better but have to work the posiotions more and attack more often
Overall it wasn't a bad night

I haven't gone the last 2 days because i haven't felt good. Going tonight and will report back around 9 or 10
