I messed up though, it says my 3rd squat was 525, it was actually 520

you should of opened with 500 on squat, you should of opened with 600+ on deadlift... youre probably pushing 700 on DL by the looks of that 645. strongggg stuff man

thanks guys. there are other raw 220 world records higher than that; I think 700 is the highest so I still have a lot of work to do and you'll never hear me call myself a world champion. Just a record in that organization; but I am still proud of it

Congratulations man, just had my first meet last week too. There is a blank record in my division when I competed so I think I might have set a record too, not sure though.

if you're going for a record you can take a 4th attempt, but i think you have to have made your first 3 attempts

Depends on the federation....usually if your are with-in 30lbs of a record, they will give you a 4th attempt. But you have to hit 2 out of 3 attempts to be awarded a 4th.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned about it being double over hand.
If you go mixed grip you should be able to go even bigger and better with ease.

it was a hook grip. Just as strong or stronger than a mixed grip if you can handle the skin ripping off your thumb LOL

less chance for tearing a bicep as well

I have noticed that aswell, every single person that tears a bicep during DL with a mixed grip, the underhanded arm tears... not the overhand...

that one is also my favorite, the quote should be something animal pakish just less cheasy

the deadlift would be my second, could be used as an advert, and the thing is you are actually lifting the weight unlike most of these advertisements in bb magazines, not that i have anything against fake weights in advertisements, i just think real weights are cool as hell

Have you tried changing up you squat form? I think you might be able to squat form if you do.

Maybe try to widen you stance, point out you feet more and utilize a suicide grip to get the elbows back so you can squat low bar.
Just a suggestion.

i am not going to risk squatting low bar with my pec only 11 months since repair. low bar will require me to stretch that pec more and i'm not going to do that

I would love to see you at 100% in a full meet with a year of "pl style" training in you. Those squats were so close and you smoked everyone of them, the deadlifts hook grip and you looked like you could clean the first 2 attempts, and you were benching high 300's/ close to 400 before your injury right? With a flared bodybuilder style I'll bet? You're already breaking records in a recovery state and using a bodybuilder approach to the lifts, I'll be you could easily dominate the 220 raw division in any fed.

thanks man, I appreciate the kind words, I don't know about dominate though... there are guys like jeremy hamilton out there, 705 deadlift, 583 squat, and I think his bench is around 4... crazy!

I don't know if I'll ever go super heavy on bench, I may do a full meet and put up a token bench, and in a few years when things are fully healed may try to push it a little bit, but it will be tough to get past that tear, that was horrifying

I will also agree on those lifts being damn near amazing. The deadlift is the one I'm most jealous of too. That double overhand grip is amazing! I can't even hold 315 with dbl overhand.

Out of this world man, all the lifts seemed ridiculously easy! The black and white squat picture looks really cool too, and in it you look so calm as if it's just a 45 pound bar. Honestly, I don't know if it's just me but in the last picture you don't even look the same, you look way more badass in the lifting pictures. Keep it up and good luck in future competitions!
