Hello! My name is Sandra Wickham and I am the 2002 (CBBF) Canadian National Fitness Champion-I am new to the message boards and came straight to this Fitness Competitions Category! I thought I would introduce myself, I have been competing for six years and training girls to compete for three. I'll attach a couple pics, but for more about me, and my training check out my website at www.sandrawickham.com. I look forward to hearing from other fitness enthusiasts!
(I hope this attachment works...)
(I can't figure out how to get more than one pic up?! I'll just put one for now!!!)

Thanks for the post! I know I'm slow on the reply-sorry! Things have been crazy busy! What competition are you doing? When is it? Is it your first or are you a veteran?? Questions, questions, questions!!!

Yes, this will be my first competition- it will be in Nov- I know long way a way, but my goal is to win! I am training to add muscle and further develop my muscle shape and then will begin modifying diet in July with the full-out diet in mid August. I am so excited and I can hardly wait! I have been doing my research and I am hiring a previous competitor for nutrition and help to push me harder in the workout. How about you?

Sounds like you have a solid plan! That's great! I think it's wise to take your time and come in to your first show at your best-rather than trying to rush and stress yourself out. I'm sure you'll be great! I'm getting ready for the CBBF Canadian Nationals again-we had three height classes last year but they only give out 2 pro cards...unfortunately for me, the other two class winners (short and tall) won them. So I have to go back, try to win my class again, and the overall (or second overall) to earn the pro card! I'm just over 6 weeks out now, and I've almost lost track of how many competitions this will be for me...I believe it will be my 10th!

My competition is on Aug. 17th, all-natural (of course). Right now I am at 200 pounds and 8.5% body fat, by Aug I am aiming to be around 230 @ 3%. One guy told me that I would go in looking like a freak, I don't think that would be the case due to my height at 6'-4". What is your opinion???

I have to admit I don't know much about bodybuilding prep, or bodyweight vs bodyfat for men-so I have no idea!

Well thanks! When people ask me what I think my strongest bodypart is, I always say my back, or chest-I forget about my abs-everyone else always tells me it's my abs!!!

Thanks for all the positive feedback!
Favourite exercises....I really like the high hammer row for back-infact, I'd have to say it's my favourite exercise in the gym!! Abs...I really like to do all different exercises-but fairly regularly I do weighted floor crunches.
So many highlights since I began competing-it's hard to pick! I'd have to say winning the Canadian Nationals last year-and the many opportunities that have come from it!
