your deadlift and squat shot up, but bench remained at 275? dont take me wrong, 275 is ****ing strong, but you didnt set any PR for bench?

huh, i wouldve thought your arms were 15' shows. mine are only 13.5, to be honest i dont believe that all the teens here have 15+ arms.

my bench was 275 at the begining of this log, then it was 300 on the end of bulk, then it was 275 again on the end of cut, now it's somewhere between 300-315

MISC

Time: 1hr 15minutes

Training: 6/10

Diet: 5/10

Sleep: 5/10

Sore: Neck(because of sleeping)

Avarage workout. first time doing deads after injury so I didn't want to go too heavy.

DEADLIFTS
Mixed grip, switching hands after each set. No equipment besides chalk . Touch & go
Plates in this gym are not same weight lawl and they are little smaller so bar is couple of '' lower so it made it harder.

Warm up sets:
10 x 60kg
8 x 70kg
5 x 80kg
3 x 90kg

Working sets:
5 x 100kg
5 x 110kg
5 x 120kg
5 x 130kg
5 x 140kg

CALVES

6 sets of toe presses on leg press. all sets were 20+reps with 195kg

4 sets on seated calf raises with 60kg. rep range was 10-20

ABS
Did leg raises and various high rep BW exercises(no rest between exercises)

STRAIGHT BAR CURLS
I felt like doing biceps so I did it.
I changed the way I train biceps (and other small muscles as well). I'll do light weight, but I'll concetrate more on contracting the muscle, it already works-after only 4sets my biceps were dead

12 x 30kg
10 x 40kg
8 x 40kg
6 x 40kg

Looks bad because I try to keep elbows infront of me.
y1jKpQfGY5M

PREACHER E-Z BAR CURLS

10 x 22,5kg ---> I told you my biceps were dead
8 x 22,5kg

I dont see how that curl looks bad, looks good IMO. Still strong curls, I only do 42.5kg x 6 :( how do you handle that the deads start lower, I have small plates in my gym too so I basically have the same problem. You think one can use platforms to let it start higher next time?

Dunk, grab some melatonin, its less than $10 for a bottle of 200.
They are generally 3mg each, thats all youll need, take 1 3mg pill before sleep tonight. It will greatly improve your REM sleep- youll be 100X more rested in the morning, and your gains will improve ( dont want to make it seem like im talking down to you since your obviously extremely knowlegable in bodybuilding, but your body only builds muscle during REM sleep). I had been having similar sleeping issues as you- example i could go to bed at 9 pm and would wake up at 3 am, if i went to bed at 12 midnight i would wake up at 6 am, no more than 6 hours each night. And those 6 hours were super sh*tty quality sleep all together, started taking the melatonin and its night and day.
Definetly worth a try man. Just google and read up on it, its totally safe, its a naturally produced hormone.

I know what melatonine is, thanks for remindig me I haven't thought about it.

yeah I go to sleep at like 11PM fall asleep at 11:30PM then wake up at 2AM and can't sleep until like 3:30-4:00AM despite I'm tired or I sleep like 9hours in one piece but still I'm tired and feel like I've been drinking

08-09-2009, 01:28 PM
Haha brah, been there, done that.
Snag some melatonin from the store and pop a few tonight. you will be a happy man.
Also, if you ever have trouble feeling sleepy enough to fall asleep try a few mg of Valerian Root, you can get the pills from the same place as the melatonin.

Squats looked deep as hell to me, so dunk we racing to 220 ?

I don't know if it's ok, but I do it that way on any kind of deadlifts. Tips? IDK how much experience can I get from doing them 2 times in my life but try to pull with your hamstrings, put an emphasis on your hams if you know what I mean.

yeah, it was hot + I always sweat like a pig on squat/deads

one question, do you find it easier to BB press behind the neck or in front? Usually after each rep I'll sort of set it on my chest for a second before starting the next rep and maybe this is wasting energy?

Nice log brah

it's easier to press in front off, I do it behind only because I don't want to hit my front delts.

Don't rest it on chest

I always rowed with a rounded back and felt nothing, make sure your back is arched, and momentum won't kill you. Ronnie coleman uses momentum to make it more of a compound but it's your call. Good call on not deadlifting on back day, they rape my hamstrings and glutes.

Todays workout was horrible, weather is bad which affects me badly. My ****ing gym sucks major ass. I was pissed also because I couldn't sleep for ****. And how the **** am I so weak on squats and deads? like people who are 50lbs ligther than me outlift me?

DEADLIFTS
My ****ing form was horrible, I wonder how I didn't break my back.
And the weights are ****ing horrible. they are small + it says that they weigh 20kg, but the truth is one weighs 23-25kg and other 16-18kg, so no wonder I barelly pulled the weight. ****ing gym

Warm up:
10 x 60kg
5 x 60kg
1 x 100kg

Working sets
it really is question was it weight I typed because weights are ****ing terrible
5 x 100kg
5 x 120kg
1 x 140kg----> forgot calipers and weight fell of the bar. Imagine that ****
3 x 160kg----> this felt like 180kg, by this time I was pissed like Samuel L. Jackson in his movies
5 x 140kg
Guess what happened now!! A manager comes to me and says I'm making to much noise( I do touch and go) and I'll damage the floor. Then I said If you had decent equipment insted of this bull **** and platform then I wouldn't make the ****ing noise nor damage your ****ing floor. I was about to snap but she(yes, she, cute little bitch I wanted to smash her face with 45lb plate) left probably because she saw how ****ing pissed off I am.

5 x 140kg

CALVES
Toes presses on leg press. About 6 sets, god knows how much reps with 200kg

That was it because I was too ****ing pissed off.

While I was leaving that place where I deadlifted I notice some F@ggot starring at me. I look at him and *** quickly moves his eyes of me, I wanted to say what are you looking at ***got but I managed to control myself.

And so I change my clothes and I'm waiting for that bitch manager to give me my stuff(cellphone and ****) and she's all arogant so I barely controled myself. I should have said shut your mouth whore, but I didn't.

end of rant/workout

I'm having a realy bad day, and I'll probably regret some things in the morning but right now I'm ****ing pissed off.

I'm not usually bad person, I guess

I don't know if it's official but on barbell rows you use underhand grip, you slightly bend your knees and keep your back around 45 degrees or lower, keeping elbows close to your sides. Hits lats

Bent over rows, you bend your knees, keep back horizontal(parallel to the floor) and you use overhand grip and your elbows are away from your sides, hit's middle back more

There are many variations in how to do rows but both rows you described are still considered bent over rows.

if you wana feel an awsome pump in your shoulders then try this out bro:

Seated barbell press (to front): 3 sets - 4-6 reps, 1 -2 min rest between sets
Side Lateral Raises: 3 sets - 8-10 reps, 30 - 45 second rest between sets
Dumbbell Front raises: 3 sets - 8-10 reps, 15 - 30 second rest between sets
Bent over rear delt raises: 3 sets - 8-12 reps, 15-30 second rest between sets

For the dumbbell front raises, do them with your palms facing your legs, then bring them up together, and clap the bottom of the dumbbells at the top Like: \ /

Yeah, 100 lb + skullcrushers would probably be hard on the elbows....

I find that face pulls are a lot easier on my shoulder joint and I can feel it in my rear delts more than bent over DB flies, imo.

Subbed. :)

Um you could change up the front raises with cable side laterals, still with 15-30 second rest.

Are you sure you dont wana try that way of doing front raises tho, it realy burns up and pumps up the entire shoulder! its my favourite exercise for pumping up the delts.

Hahah sweet bro, you can be a little loose on the form with those front raises aswell, so you can use some solid weight, and you still get awsome burn and pump, much more than if you used lighter weight with strict form. I dont mean super loose form tho, still good, but a lil loose if you kno what i mean

My parallel front squats are heavier. The new program I'm going to be following in September is for strength/hypertrophy, which is what I'm aiming for. Since I've been increasing my calories my lifts have been increasing as well.

And 220x2 ATG is pretty impressive, especially for a girl. :o
